    Collect the money and dont have a bunch of drunks staggering around town.
    Same here. Sundays no liquor sales for years. Why? The dont want drunks in church. Sure the priest can drink wine but you cant go buy a bottle. lol and who cares if someone staggers into church. They're there. Know what I mean? Makes no sense to me.

    Sounds like fun, g/f... and places I've never visited. Luv the JD story. Kinda adds a bootlegger taste to their whiskey!

    I've got a strange trip coming up. How it ended up this way is a long story, but the short of it is... me & a g/f will be spending 4 nights at a casino/resort in Shreveport, LA. 4 days/nights is a long time to spend gambling... and while they have a nice pool and spa... I googled 'things to do in Shreveport' and got nothing but a small museum with a pretty garden in the back and the air museum at Barksdale I've seen 5 times.

    LOL, I'm either gonna have to win big or stay drunk by the pool to keep myself occupied.

    Thinking I need to have a heart-to-heart with the g/f and see if she doesn't agree we should pick another destination. I've got til Sept 1 to cancel the resv. I guess the big question is... do I need to get away bad enough to spend 4 days with a view of the Red River?

    Drink, plz... and make it a double.

    Drunks need religion too. You can buy liquor here on Sunday but not in town, it's sold in the country.

    No liquor sales here on Sunday either. Not sure why it matters when you can still buy beer & wine.

    In the last 2 yrs, my part of town went from being dry (all my life) to selling beer & wine at every corner store... and liquor less than 2 miles from home. Happy, happy, happy. *hic*
