Doesn't look that way. Or else we already got it. I can use rainfall this time of year.

    Good morning Earthlings. (U2 Foolie)

No rain here for eons. Can't even conjure up a tropical storm to move North. :(

    Breakfast?

You might not have wanted this one it had a lot of lightening, thunder and straight line winds. We are going to be busy picking up limbs. I would rather have had the rain without the excitement. It was something to see for sure.

Sitting in the veterinarian’s parking lot. Only one person allowed in with the animal. My dog is sick. I think he ate something he shouldn’t have. We take him down to the creek and he may have found something there that appealed to him but not his stomach.

No rain here for months.. I can see it somewhere over the mountains.. but it just doesn't have enough umph to push over the mountains. Meanwhile.. triple digit heat continues.

The beauty is you get quality time with them and it doesn't last forever. I always miss mine when they leave.

Just dawned on me it's mid August already. Is it just me or did somebody speed up time?

We are warm here but we got more rain than usual this year. The heat index is over a hundred but temps in the 90s. Not too bad but uncomfortable.

Tried that. The little SOBs are Vegans, and I offered up a prized coneflower for his delectation in the have-a-hart trap. He ignored it and went for the freebies on the deck.

He is down to his last grace. I will do just about anything to not hurt a critter, but I am at the end of my rope.

I hate when our furry kids can't tell us what the problem is. I hope it's something a little kopectate will help with.

I was on the deck with Hoover yesterday, and when I was petting him, I felt a weird lump on his back. Ruffled up his fur, and it looked like a spot of some sort, so I pressed a little around it, and leaving out the gross part, he had a large abscess. Cleaned him up as best I could, Spouse cam home later, held him down, poured on some peroxide, and dribbled some colloidal silver on it. Will check again tonight. To say the least, he was not a happy kitty, but if what we did saves us a $200 vet bill, it's worth it.

Maybe make it a more enticing buffet. What is he eating on your deck? I would put the trap near where he is eating off your deck or near the hole if you can find it. Cover the trap with a towel or something and stack it with some marshmallows, watermelon, peanut butter on crackers...Im getting hungry..lol..and corn. If you can move the stuff it is eating so it wont go to the known, maybe it will go to the unknown.
Im sitting here laughing picturing you wresting down a groundhog.

Ill take a slice to go.

He must have been bit by another animal.. One time the cat got bit on his tail, we didn't notice till he started walking on his front paws with his butt up in the air. We checked him over and took him to the vet. He told us another animal bit him. My husband said can you imagine the pain he was in to walk on his front paws. Never seen that before or since it was a weird sight..

The whole year seems to be going fast. Time flys when you are having fun can't say I am having fun yet and the time is zipping by.

Just hope I can keep the peace between Grandma and her daughter! Just heard about daughter cutting up potatos directly on the table clothe.. I made the appropriate "tu tu s" , tho' I can't beleive there are people that don't know to not cut stuff up directly on the table clothe!

The visual on the butt-in-air is great lol ! Sorry that it took an injury to cause it though. They will tolerate a lot of pain before they will let on.

Oh, definitely another animal, and most likely the neighbors yearling cat, Jett. Hoover is handicapped (three legs) and doesn't travel far from the deck. The only animal he will fight with is another cat, all other critters he just sits and watches, he knows his limitations.

Ground hogs are herbivores, or I would have tried the dirty cat food can standby. It's been going after just about anything at ground level, with exception to the Kent Beauty Oregano. My handrail can't handle 9 ceramic pots of flowers, lol, and don't even say that I have too many!
