Sometimes you can just scatter them now where you want them, and Mother Nature takes care of the rest.

I had the Cosmos 'sulphur' (yellow & orange) come back for a number of years without actively reseeding. Determined little buggers....

Hi everyone. We're back from a 14-day adventure from San Francisco to Vegas. It was supposed to be a 12 day, but our flight home from Vegas got canceled, leaving us at the Bellagio for two extra days.

The Pacific Coast Highway is truly spectacular. (Also, quite scary at certain hairpin turns high up on the mountain, LOL.)

'Twas an excellent time and a much needed getaway for my husband and I.

This is our last look at Big Sur.

Nerd lost at poker and also lost his football bets. I only played slots.

I won a lot at slots, which offset his losses. I had a $400 jackpot on a 50 cent bet. I had some other jackpots over $100, too. I've never been so slot-lucky before.

    It was fun.

They have already reseeded themselves under the big plants, they probably won't make it too much longer when the first big cold weather hits.

It is always more fun to give stuff away, never had luck trying to sell stuff.

We were gifted free buffet at the Bellagio for our stay. Bellagio is supposedly one of the best.

It rates a "meh; better than Golden Corral," at best. We gave it a second try, to be sure, but we didn't use our free buffet on days 3 & 4.

Never saw the appeal of that one. Maybe ours was just poorly managed. It did not survive the pandemic.

Right, but the buffet in Vegas is $50/pp.

Yes. The tour of San Francisco was fascinating.

It's rather odd. You get on a waiting list and you aren't playing while the blinds are going up. By the time he got in, he was only able to play a couple of hands due to how high the blinds were. He went all in on K/10 or something, and he wasw out.

Next time we go, we are going to do more research on getting in an actual tournament. He couldn't wander too far from base camp due to an ongoing foot issue. It was so crowded in Vegas, it took our Uber 30 minutes to get us from the Bellagio to the airport, which is about two miles. Using uber to get around wasn't a good option.

    That's weird.
I have played tournaments in casinos a few times but it was never like that.

It’s called a quick tournament is is available in Vegas. It’s a way to make the walk-in games go more quickly.

Nerd was an alternate. After someone goes out, for the first hour, alternates can buy in. He was one of the last in, so by the time he got in he had 10 big blinds. In addition, the quick tourneys have an ante that only the big blind pays. It makes the pot bigger and gives incentive to stay in. It totally changes the strategy, because it’s a different game.

Nerd calls it the tourist game. He just wanted to play, so he played what was available.
