    I don't wanna seem like a drag but where exactly should birds go south
    to.Like ain't Texas kinda south.Granted Robins stick around and brave
    the elements because they are part of God's angels.
    No bird is as royal in defending their newborn than a Robin.,
    The males stick around to defend their territory.

    I dunno... seems to me they oughta at least fly to South Texas... or Mexico. Might be on the way there now. I didn't ask 'em for a flight plan. :omg:

    Still got Robins around here, has been a mild fall and beginning of winter. I just hope they didn't miss their flight, although they have been spotted with snow on the ground.
    If I understand it correctly, their migratory pattern depends on food supply.

    Hi everyone.

    I was flipping channels the other night and settled on watching this program about tulips. It was actually about how plants evolved over the years. Whether their goal for surviving was beauty or medicinal purposes. The show then started talking about cannabis and how it survived because of the THC factor. People over vast amounts of time recognized the effects that THC has on the human mind. It has properties that enable the brain to forget. Forgetting is an important asset to a human brain. They explained it like this. Imagine all the stimulation your brain filters in a short amount of time. Sounds, movement etc. It would overload if it didn't allow itself to forget (*)(*)(*)(*). Also, compounds in cannabis are an exact match to a specific receptor we have in our brains. It also is a receptor for something else we have but I got high and forgot what they said.

    Quiet evening. I'm reading The Killing of Lincoln, so had to take a break from the Civil War for awhile. We rarely think of what a horrible event that was... and I had two g-grandfathers who fought in it. Can't help thinking of what they went thru as I'm reading about the horrific battles. :omg:

    As you alluded, read for a while, then give it a rest.

    Is it O'Reillys book? Just curious, I have a couple of his earlier books, and have thought of getting Killing Lincoln in audio. I have noticed that it is becoming increasingly more difficult for me to read while flying, weird I know, I don't have motion sickness until I start to read! ...That is why I was thinking of an audio version.

    Anyway, enjoy your book and your evening... cause you only got four days left!!

    Yeah, thx for bringing that up... 4 more days! The good news is... weather's supposed to be great for the weekend! Might hit 70 tomorrow & Saturday! Then it gets cold again next week, just in time to stay holed up in an office all day! Perfect timing!

    I know what you mean about reading on planes. I have the same problem. I can handle a magazine, but books are too much. Even had a weird experience with an audio book last time I took a road trip. Was driving by myself and decided to listen to a novel. After about an hour, felt like I was getting hypnotized by the person's voice and had to shut it off!

    LOL, guess that means we're TV junkies. Sit in a comfy chair and let somebody entertain us! :date:

    P.S. Yeah, it's O'Reilly's book. I got it for Christmas.
