Sometimes I'm a slow learner.I tink I got it now.
An Oasis bar.Like I sahsay into this joint and make my
way to the long mahogany bar with nice swivel stools and
great lighting to show off the vast expensive layers of Top Shelf
booze.The barkeep in professional livery attire politely asks
" what'll it be ? ".So I smart aleck back.What'd ya got Bub.?
He points to the near thousand bottles under fancy low lights and
pulls out from under the thick bar,a nice almost 1" thick glass.
I point to a bottle and order me's a double on the rocks.
The ice is crystal clear and the size of Kingston charcoal.
I gets me drinky and looks round,placin' a nice crisp $20 spot,
smack on the bar.Then the Oasis walked in.
Like man ... I forgot all about drinkin'.That's how hot she was.
I almost went back to bein' a slow learner,I did.
Butts ... I dint !

My day off plan of watching Springer & judge shows is off to a bad start. The theme of Jerry's show today was Trannylicious. Other than watching their ususpecting partners freak out at the 'news' -- not much of interest there. Now I'm a lil restless and might have to hit the shops. LOL, I COULD clean out a closet or something...

Yes, this is one of the 'holidays' that is saved for our end of year break. I'll have a week and a half off at Christmas and New Years, so I can handle working today. Lots of cadet activities going on, so it's pretty busy up here.

It's hug a Veteran Day everybody!

 

Good morn...I'm a vet, but not a combat vet. I wanna thank all the combat vets today, they have put their lives on the line for all of us.

 

It's great....the cadets are in their service dress today and they always make me so proud when I see them like that. They are marching in the parade downtown this afternoon. I'm "Ms. Kim" to all of them. They've probably ruined me where other students are concerned because I know not all of them are nearly as polite and respectful as these kids are.

It was the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, and the guns fell silent. Finally, the war was over and all was quiet on the Western front.

They had gone to Europe to fight for a belief, a cause, a principle. They had fought the battles of Belleau Wood, the river Meuse, and the Argonne Forest. They had survived, they had lived to see another day, the "War To End All Wars" was over.

Little did they know that their sons would be fighting here again in less than 25 years...

 

Wow... look at all the aces!!!

 

The same. 10 years Canadian Armed Forces. November 11th parade none of us would mutter a negative word, standing in blizzards, frozen mustaches etc, for numerous hours. Too much thanks and admiration for those who sacrificed to even think of a grumble.

Now...every other dog and pony show parade...well, that is a different story.
