    So are any of you US people following your national team in the rugby world cup?

    It's been a great tournament so far, although the probelm with it being in NZ is that the games are on from 2am to 9am my time - not really a great time to be having a beer while I watch! The next Wales game kicks off at 4:30am - for some reason, none of the local pubs will be showing it! I might just have a beer while I watch at home, though, and go back to bed after!

    Shall we have sopme appropriate music in this here sports bar, to get us in the mood? How about the tournament's official theme song, from the spectacular opening ceremony:

    I'm sorry to say, I don't keep up with rugby....it's enough stress this time of year to worry about the Cowboys......

    Ya' know... it seems that just about the time I get used to the ambience of one SB&G, we're moving to another place. I feel like the travelling roadshow sometimes! :)

    A sports bar and grille, eh? Well, I guess I'll have to provide my own barstool. Just so y'all know which one is mine, it looks like this --

    Ive watched rugby matches before and those guys are seriously tough. No real pads or anything and they pile on each other. Amazing there isnt much blood. I dont understand how the game works but its pretty impressive to watch.
    Its kind of like......... lets get the guy with the ball.

    Since we seem to be on a little bit of a football tack here at Smartie's Sports Bar & Grille, I have a question for my fellow patrons --

    Who do you think is going to be the NFL team that moves to Los Angeles?

    I've heard rumors about several teams that could move - San Francisco, St. Louis, New Orleans, Minnesota, Oakland - but they seem to be using the threat of moving to Los Angeles as a bargaining chip to get better facilities from their respective cities.

    But there are three teams that seem to be very prospective candidates for relocation - Jacksonville, Buffalo, and San Diego.

    Jacksonville has lost money for years, and is having to discount their season tickets in order to sell enough seats so that they won't have a local television blackout.

    Buffalo's owner is 90-something, and looking to sell the team. The rumors I've heard is that the team is going to move - but they'll move to Toronto and be the first NFL international team.

    San Diego is having trouble filling Qualcomm Stadium, and Los Angeles is only a short drive up the I-5.

    Comments, anyone?

    I honestly would be surprised if Buffalo moved to California. They have Canadian fans I'm sure the NFL takes into consideration. Maybe Oakland or the Rams. I honestly dont know but if the team that moves there is a loser the new stadium wont much matter. They need a team that wins games.
