Of the Democratic party and just crickets here? So who will be next to jump from the insanity that is the modern Democratic party?

Sinema intends to maintain her committee assignments from the Democrats.

That will depend if you can come up with an alternative to the Orange stain.

Sometimes people take a look at their lives and find something missing. Like a conscience, glad she's turning her life around.

How nice to see a Washingron politician decide to vote strictly on the merit of the policies/laws rather than vote as the party leadership commands. Wouldn't it be nice if all of them went Independent?

That seems a rather disingenuous comment-- are you saying you'd be happy, if there was no Republican Party? Or, were you limiting the word "they," to apply only to Democrats?

If the latter was the case, I of course apologize for suggesting your remark sounded disingenuous; in that circumstance, "hypocritical," would have been the correct term.

I spoke of "Washington politicians", so a fifth grader would know "all of them" (I didn't use the word "they") included both dems and repubs. Would I be happy if there were no republican party -- well I wouldn't be unhappy. What has the party ever done for me?
    I'll re-post so you can re-read . . .

Yes, I see. I am sorry that I'd mistakenly put your comment into my own words, but quoted the word "they." You understand, don't you, that the two phrasings translate, essentially, the same? That is, when one is talking about politicians, the word "they," is generally regarded to mean the same thing as "all of them." I had no trouble understanding what your words should mean; I was just unsure if that was what you truly had meant. Hence, my characterization of "disingenuous," which is another word for "insincere," which is another way of saying, "not sincere." I hope I'm not losing you.

Sir, how does it feel to look down your nose at those of us you deem less adept at expressing ourselves? Come down from your lofty perch, have a beer, and chew the fat with the rest of us good ole boys.

I'm happy to chew the fat, with sincere people. Here, for an example of what does not come across as sincere, you make it out that I am the one, with the condescending attitude. In fact, though, it was you who'd decided to portray me, as not understanding what, "a fifth grader would know." If that is your idea of chewing the fat, then it is hypocritical of you, to consider my comments, as looking down my nose. Conversely, if my remarks are snooty, then so is your "5th grader" remark.

With me, a correspondent normally gets back, whatever attitude they are putting out.

EDIT: I admit that, according to your reply, I had misjudged your first comment about "wouldn't it be nice if all of them went independent," in thinking you were referring to other Democratic politicians, only. As your remark is coming in a thread about someone leaving the Democratic Party-- no, your meaning for "them" is not obvious, to even a 5th grader. With the smallest of changes, you could have assured that is was perfectly clear that "them," referred to all Washington politicians, and not just all Democrats. Merely because you had said, "a Washington politician," in the prior sentence, did not require that both Party's members were included in all of them.
