This expresses my own feelings better than I could.

The sun is setting on the financially and ethically bankrupt US empire and no 4-year plans, no quick fixes like term limits or Constitutional amendments, no adjustments of the Fed's interest rates, are going to change this.

After the sun set on the British Empire the British Isles came up with the Beatles.

Let's hope that North America will do as well as that.

 

If there is an American decline, it's because we've moved too far to the left. We're not the same country that fought in WW II.

Right. Citizens United, declining union membership, privatized prisons, privatized schools, insane and ridiculous gerrymandering, resistance to higher taxes on those who can afford it, worsening healthcare due to protections of insurance companies' profits, ..... Yup. Damned liberals.

 

With Castro dieing and the failure of Venezuela its been a tough year for socialism.

The troubles of Venezuela are no reflection on socialism so much as on oil company deceptions, tricks, and damage. I think you need to bone up on this.

Actually, with the world turning to right wing extremists and extremist excesses, the worldwide interest in socialism has been renewed and great discussions and progress are happening.

It's up to the people. It they remain on the sidelines, we will get more of the same. If they get involved, organize, sort out ideas and differences, and get moving, we could have a new and promising America.

There are new conversations and organizations forming in response to those conversations on capitalism vs. socialism. But you won't know if you don't seek them out, like any education actually.

Liberals ARE making massive issues of Transgenders using the wrong bathroom.

5) obscenely high taxes and complex regulations, discouraging private sector growth
6) encouraging the use of recreational drugs,
7) promoting anti-American "equality of results" over the more American "equality of opportunity",
giving us political correctness and curtailing free speech,
9) violent and intolerant of any other points of view,
10) disrespectful to our friends abroad and cozying up to our enemies,
11) Obamacare - a colossal failure, destined for a complete and utter collapse,
12) more concerned with the well being of criminals than their victims,
13) politicizing our federal government (DOJ, IRS) to protect some and harass others,

I could write another 20 items.

 

How do you know they are not transgender people and their families who are pushing the issue? It's a good "sizzling" issue for corporate media to push and profit from. Personally I tend to side with many on the right on this issue.
