Did you read the part about the AC unit being sized for the job? It's been over 105 degrees here for the last week, according to your article my AC unit would never shut off, but it does. A long time ago I took a tour of the Houston Astrodome and the temp in that place is a constant 72 degrees. I would think commercial units in theaters can maintain cool temps quite easily.

Do you know ONLY the screens showing that film were affected or (as is more likely) only the people watching that film are complaining because they think the “libs” want to sabotage the film?

Here is a simple “it doesn’t pass the smell test”. If AMC was so against the film why book it in the first place? For crying out loud they wouldn’t book a film they didn’t want to show. If they really wanted to sabotage the film they just wouldn’t book it.

So all of those random people secretly made the same lie? OK, sure! Let's go with that. Whatever makes you feel better because we know feelings are way more important than facts.

If it proves to be true, it's certainly an idiotic business decision.

As we've seen of late... many companies seem to be making some poor decisions that are impacting their share holders. Many of those same people are starting to get fired now.

I didn’t say they were lying. In a given movie theatre that is showing that movie how do you know it is ONLY the screens (out of the 6-12 an average theatre has) showing that movie is where the AC went out? If the AC went out it’s more likely it went out for ALL the screens. But being that THAT movie is going to have more “Karens” on average it is that audience that complains the most making it seem like that movie is being is being affected more.

So now the AC went out because there were "karens' in the theater? Why is this not being reported for other movies on such a large scale? Is it because NON-KARENS have a higher resistance to heat? Inquiring minds wanna know. I'm learning so much here so far. Please keep the knowledge coming!

I highly doubt 'AMC' (or any movie theatre company) would volunteer to show a movie it didn't want people to watch. Far more likely its individual employees or small groups of employees at individual theatres that are unhappy with 'corporate's decision to show the movie, and instead of trying to make changes within their own organization or strike or quit, they, as petulant emotional children do, are taking it out on the customers instead.

I went and saw it at a local and (afaik) independent theatre. No issues. Well, it was a little loud... but I havn't been to the theatre in years before yesterday, so maybe its just me.

    Great movie BTW.

My brother went to see Indiana Jones last week at an AMC theater

AC conked out during the film so he did not see the whole movie

    It happens

My hypothesis is that because the movie purportedly takes place in Columbia, the theatre wanted to give all the patrons a full immersive experience with a full Columbian environment...

No, you don't understand. This is clearly an attempt by conservatives to stop your brother watching the film. They have made it clear they dislike the film and the AC went out during the film....in a deep red state. There is only one possible explanation - it was deliberate!

I sometimes wonder if US conservatives deliberately say stupid things so they can act like victims when they get called on it. The alternative is that they actually believe this stuff....which is a scary thought.

The left like control, so while it will be impossible to prove something like this to be true, it definitely fits. The left hate having people watch anything that unravels their carefully crafted propaganda.

I have been to a variety of theaters through the years...there is a huge range of quality differences.....and losing air is NOT uncommon for those theaters with limited upkeep investment. Those lower tier theaters ARE good on the budget.

Wow, either you are not very conversant in English or you are purposefully twisting what I am saying.

No, because NON KARENS have a higher tolerance to bullsh*t. It's very hot out, record breaking hot, so MOST people understand that AC has its limits so if the AC goes out they understand that's just how it goes. They don't go crying to anyone who will listen "Conspiracy! I'm being targeted! They are trying to oppress me!"

Most people are like, "AC went out, it sucked. It was hot in there"

If AMC didn't want people to watch the movie, THEY WOULDN'T BOOK THE MOVIE.

They would show something on that screen that puts people in the seats. There is no reason to book the movie and then sabotage your own theatre to prevent people from watching it. The very basis for this conspiracy is idiotic.
