Favourite spirit? What is your favourite type and the brand you prefer? Is their a particular reason why you drink a certain spirit? I drink brandy, generally cognac, Hennessy or Martel. I started drinking it with my parents, it is their social/winding down/Saturday night in front of the fire beverage. Aside from the taste, which I associate with Christmas, I like the memories I associate with it. I am currently experimenting with my first batch of sloe gin, but I'll need at least another year before I have any opinions on it. When drinking as a student though it is generally a cheap own brand vodka, not particularly pleasant but gets the job done.
Maker's Mark and Canada Dry ginger ale. A lot of purists will say, why not use a cheaper whiskey if you're going to water it down with soda water...that Maker's Mark should be partaken straight... My response is simply...I bought it, I drink it as I please...if I wanted to mix it with gasoline and power my lawnmower, it's my prerogative.
A very small amount of Martini, extra dry vermouth, and allot of Beefeater gin. shaken in a tumbler with some ice and poored into a delicate glass.
Sounds like dinnertime is a win-win for you...lol I personally prefer a good gin & tonic... Or scotch...
