Supreme Court rulings favor American freedom, despite what the left thinks

The Supreme Court has ended affirmative action programs, cancelled Biden's plan, and ruled in favor of a Colorado web designer's First Amendment rights. AP
From the Supreme Court to America: Happy Individual Independence Day.

OK, the court didn’t actually say that, but its key rulings did.

The final cases rang out with a consistent clarity that the Constitution favors individual liberty over group rights and government power.

The distinction is what helped make America different from the start, yet to witness the hysterical outcry against the rulings, fewer and fewer Americans understand the founding principles.

Either that or they want to trash American exceptionalism so they can force everybody to think alike.

You don’t have to read the opinions to see the pattern.

You only have to see who is furiously denouncing the court as a right-wing instrument of hate and exclusion….

The author is exactly right about the court and its recent rulings. They are a defense of individualism and a critique of group and or collective actions. The court sees its duty to protect Americans God given rights, our personal and economic freedom, and our religious liberty.

Religious liberty, free speech rights, no race based college entry, and reminding the executive branch that it is congress that has power of the purse. A great final two days!

The libs are afraid we will now have too many whites and Asians enrolled in college. The libs think the blacks lack the smarts to pass the college entrance exam -- why do some blacks allow the libs to denigrate them with such thinking?

    Hi, XXJefferson#51.

Right you are! Individual freedom, as in a woman's freedom to do what she thinks right with her body.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

Can you support any of this? I disagree with all you have said. It is no more than name calling.

The progressives are against freedom except for the abortion issue. That now fits into their plans now that they have decided that the earth is overpopulated.

The distribution of intelligence is distributed equally among all the races. The difference is environment and culture. If you believe in the line bull that the system is against you because of your race, and that you will never get ahead because of that, chances are you will fail or not be all you can be.

Progressives send the wrong messages to minorities, but much of that is intentional. That keeps progressives in power. If the minority vote were evenly split, most progressive politicians would be out of power.

That is the big question. There is nothing the progressives left dislikes more than an African American conservative

As long as the freedom doesn’t cause harm to another human being, I agree with you.

Three guys in their crosshairs are Tim Scott, Larry Elder and David Webb. The harpies on The View went on and on about how Tim Scott was the exception and how wrong he was to say "Anyone can make it in America." They don't want that message to be widespread.

    Hi again, XXJefferson#51.

Aye, there's the rub. How you define 'human being' is important. Consider, for example, the mischief that would ensue were it to include, say, cattle. And there's no reason, a priori, why it could not.

“Must a name mean something?” Alice asks Humpty Dumpty, only to get this answer: “When I use a word… it means just what I choose it to mean – neither more nor less.” Alice in Wonderland, Charles Dodgson.

    Regards, stay safe 'n well.

As those on The View who have done well in the USA sets around a table telling others they can't do well without help. So we have comedian Joy Behar, entertainer Whoopi Goldberg, lawyer Sunny Hostin, television host Sara Haines, and television personality Ana Navarro telling blacks they are so deficient in IQ and talent they need preferential treatment. It's a world class insult to all blacks.

Larry Elder is a good role model for blacks and whites. He has a message for blacks -- why is it that 70% of black babies do not have a father figure in the home? Blacks need to address that question and work to correct the disgrace. The black males need to step up and be a man.

I support the SC decision 1,000%. That being said, your claims are beyond asinine and are based only on your biased ‘feelings’.

The biggest take away is how outraged the left is about it! They jump to from one rage fit to another without taking a breath in between. Now we're back to packing the court, term limits, yada, yada.
They are a party hooked on rage for rage itself.
Example: A 19ish year old Asian kid nearly aced the SAT test, and couldn't get into a top school because he was Asian. Who should be raging?
SCOTUS is clearly going back to the basics of equality of all.

    No they don't.

And god doesn't give rights, BTW. Society does.

Amazing! That's almost exactly what we aren't worried about!!

How could you get that so wrong with all the evidence in front of you?

Liberals are not afraid, we are certain that colleges, especially historically all white colleges like ivy league schools, will just not admit brown folks because they are brown regardless of their qualifications, as they have historically done.

God, our creator gave us all of our human rights. Society only limits/ takes away those rights.

    Happy 4th America!

'The final cases rang out with a consistent clarity that the Constitution favors individual liberty over group rights and government power. The distinction is what helped make America different from the start.'

'Colorado web designer’s First Amendment rights mean her constitutional freedom of speech trumps a state law that would force her speech to conform to its dictates.'

    SCOTUS:
“The opportunity to think for ourselves and to express those thoughts freely is among our most cherished liberties and part of what keeps our Republic strong.”
“the First Amendment envisions the United States as a rich and complex place where all persons are free to think and speak as they wish, not as the government demands.”

'Even former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Biden didn’t have the power to cancel the debt, but the left demanded it so loudly that the White House crafted a fishy plan and hoped the court wouldn’t dare say no. Fortunately it did. Chief Justice Roberts wrote for the majority that the law “requires that Congress speak clearly before a department secretary can unilaterally alter large sections of the American economy.”'

'Justice Neil Gorsuch said that “the First Amendment envisions the United States as a rich and complex place where all persons are free to think and speak as they wish, not as the government demands.”'

'Justice John Roberts also said that the law “requires that Congress speak clearly before a department secretary can unilaterally alter large sections of the American economy.”'

'The mother of all decisions, of course, concerned affirmative action. Initially, the words meant broadening the applicant pool for jobs and college admissions to make sure those who had been excluded on the basis of race had an equal chance of being hired or admitted.Over time, the protected categories expanded and affirmative action came to mean outcome rather than opportunity, much as equity has replaced equality. But the blatant favoring of one race must come at the expense of others, and that’s clearly unconstitutional, as the court declared. The admissions decisions at Harvard and the University of North Carolina violated the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause. Too many colleges had “concluded, wrongly, that the touchstone of an individual’s identity is not challenges bested, skills built, or lessons learned but the color of their skin. Our Constitutional history does not tolerate that choice.”'

    HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, AMERICA!
