Test Results due Wednesday

I developed a rash that covered my body.. It feels like COVID spikes are on my skin.

The Mrs has sore throat, aches, mild temperature... at the exact same time I get the rash.. Coincidence? Too much so for me...

Quick research and anyone who is cognizant of CV19 may be aware in rare cases rashs have been associated with infection. Mine looked identical to those in google images.

We share on FB and a user in the circle indicated she had a bad rash too..


Anyway.. took us minutes to drive up and get tested in Cambridge Maryland.. Thank God We are not in Florida where it takes hours of waiting in line

I hope all the test results are negative.

I got my job in Apartment Maintenance the week that 8 Million or something had filed for unemployment.. last week of March

I enjoy the job and enjoy serving affordable housing.. The risks are high. I have had to go in almost all 40 Units during the entire crisis so far.

I told my boss I should not respond to emergency calls.. Fingers crossed there isn't a real Apartment 911 that needs attention..Fortunately I have gotten the neighborhoods under pretty good control..

I'm in Florida, you can walk right into my local CVS for test. Dont believe everything you here. Hope yall are negative.

 

good to hear CVS is getting involved, wonder if Walmart and Walgreens are as well

We were in the drive thru to pick up a script and the other lane was for testing, only saw about 6 cars in line.

 

Hope your test result is a negative, don't panic. There could be completely different reasons other than Covid-19. I know 8 people who got it, all had chills and high fever. They all said they would be shivering. Good luck and again hope it's a negative.

That's how ours is setup in AZ, however freaking impossible to get an appointment with CVS, Walgreens, Banner, etc.

I got mine through the ER, as I had shortness of breath and chest pain...my test was negative.

 

Dont think but so here is another testing site in our rural county.

You self administer it but what about those with no car? I hear a new saliva test will be available soon.

 

That would be ideal, that test is not freaking pleasant! Lol

 

My stepdaughter had to get tested prior to minor surgery a few weeks ago. We made an appt, drove up to the ER, they came out and swabbed her mouth through the window and it was done. No lines or waiting. Minus drive time, it took about a minute. Results a few days later. She was neg.

Yay for small towns I guess.

 

Damn right, I got my ID replaced in our DMV in all of 5 minutes, that would take at least a half a day in a big city.

 

not looking for local places, we have cvs, walmart and walgreens here too, so figure if they offer there, they will also offer here - think it's good if they are getting involved in testing as they are nationwide pretty much

My point was, testing in Fl is not as hard as the OP stated, our town of 8,000 is well covered. Now, the damn potholed roads are another story!

Some COVID paranoia out there thanks to "news" reports that always emphasize the negative. Most who get this virus will not even have symptoms. Many of us likely have been exposed already.
Some are getting the serology test for antibodies and if positive may be quarantined. ( I think Don Trump Jr's wife had this test )
I am much more worried about the goofy drivers when I go out - and gaining too much weight from the stay-at-home routine .

Yep, and destroy vehicle front ends. Fortunately, the highways are in good shape, it's residential backroads. A running joke around here is if you dont swerve for pots holes you are either drunk or not from around here!

 

Yeh, when I saw what the test involves I thought I rather die...

 

It definitely hurts but I needed to see what was going on as I had cause for concern as my chest was killing me and I was short of breath, plus I didn't want to risk infecting people. However when they stuck that swab up my nose, I was flutter kicking my feet and my eyes teared up haha

The ER nurse was like "you're going to feel a mild discomfort." Me afterwards, "ya no sh*t! My nose feels violated!" Haha

Plus side, it's quick..
