It seems that the FBI and CIA have a lot of Mormons in their ranks, and that's because they are of strong moral character and have an incorruptible nature.

Do you think that we have a moral crisis in society? Are not enough people in society morally righteous? Is there anything we can do to increase the number of morally strong people?

Or do you take the view that Mormons are sheep being taken advantage of by the system, which exploits their trust in authority and bends it towards dark ends?

I have met at least a dozen Latter day Saint Elders and Sisters and I regarded them as some of the most astonishingly well read and intellectual and politie teenage and twenty something Christians that I have ever met.

One of the first topics that I got into each time that I met a new pair of LDS Elders or Sisters was...... "What do you think of the near death experience of little Colton Burpo that was the basis for the book and movie "Heaven is for Real?"

I also asked... "What do you personally think of how Pastor Todd Burpo reacted to the testimony of his son at four, five, six, seven and eight years of age...... as little Colton told his mom and his dad about his brush with death and meetings with Messiah Yeshua - Jesus..... and John the Baptist...... who Colton described as being "really nice" [if I remember correctly].

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed how all twelve or fourteen LDS Elders and Sisters gave little Colton Burpo high marks.... and I was over the top impressed how LDS Sisters and Elders had nothing but positive things to say about how Pastor Todd Burpo had done a wonderful and intellectually honest job of passing on his sons surprising statements to everybody that he has told his story to!

My old church, The Worldwide Church of God had a very dogmatic Soul Sleep doctrine.... and I personally am so glad that LDS Elders and Sisters take NDE accounts seriously and make no effort to attempt to criticize or negate the testimony of either Colton Burpo or his dad or his mom!

I found out about Latter day Saints being recruited into the CIA, FBI and NSA, .... as you can guess... here on political forum.

Well living the type of life a Mormon typically leads does make it easier to pass a security background check to get a clearance, but I think the real attraction to them are the language skills. Since Mormons are expected to spend a year on missions as a young man, quite a few have foreign language skills. In my time I knew many Mormon linguists.

I think Lil Mike has it right, in regards to them travelling all over the world on missions, and gathering lots of foreign contacts. They have an already existing reason for being in the countries they are in. They know the languages and cultures. Seems like a natural fit.

Yes...... it is not easy to learn a foreign language. I lived in Quito, Ecuador in 2001 and 2002 and I was continually teaching English but.....
I did NOT do a good job of learning Spanish at all.

Very true.... and... Latter day Saints tend to be some of the best Christian Diplomats that I have ever met.... and I mean that in terms of them building bridges to anybody..... anywhere..... at any level of society all the way from homeless people to blue collar workers to the wealthiest of the wealthy and influential.

I have been mentored by twelve or fourteen L.D.S. Elders and Sisters both in person as well as online... and generally I began the first session in a similar theme. I asked them what they thought of the near death experience testimony of little Colton Burpo that became the best selling book and movie, "Heaven is for Real." All LDS missionaries were essentially in agreement with me personally that little Colton Burpo was a HIGHLY CREDIBLE WITNESS of all that he had viewed in heaven.

All L.D.S. Elders and Sisters also agreed with me that little Colton's dad, Pastor Todd Burpo had done an exceptionally good job of being HUMBLE and admitting that he could not disagree with his son's testimony..... even though he personally had trouble with those near death experience accounts.

Our having this conversation each time that I met with a new team of LDS missionaries was a great way to build some common ground. I was so impressed by the way that the young LDS missionaries handled themselves that I wrote the following to attempt to set them up for something that has the potential to positively alter the economy of the Middle East.

Brigham Young University in Jerusalem and peace in the Middle East

I could see the FBI doing this but I'd want a CIA agent to be able to play dirty, lie, cheat, steal, kill!

Latter day Saints tend to be the most WELL READ and articulate Christians that I have ever ran into online and in person.

Dr. Jordan Peterson is an obvious example of this tendency.

The leadership of the NSA, CIA and FBI are often surprisingly good at educating young recruits in what could be termed..... "SITUATION ETHICS" that can easily be explained from
the Jewish and / or Christian scriptures.

ESV "And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. NIV Then Jesus asked them, 'Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?' But they remained silent. [Mark 3:4]

Anybody who has read the Roman Catholic Bible will have a good idea of how huge the implications of this question really are.....
when it comes to teaching at least some variation of Situation Ethics.

I personally take this to mean that a Messianic Jew or Christian or Orthodox or Chassidic Jew can indeed take on the role of police officer or soldier or FBI or CIA agent and.....
.... they could even take the life of a person who is attempting to kill an innocent person...... even on the Jewish Sabbath!!!!!

    I could be wrong......
    I often am.....

but based on a sermon that I listened to yesterday evening.......

I am of the belief that those Latter day Saint recruits into the N. S. A. are working overtime to

clean up the C.I.A. and the F.B.I. and I am expecting indictments..... and impeachments.......

and a level of honesty in voting and the counting of ballots in the USA by the end of 2024 that will astonish all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET READY FOR POLITICAL SHOCK AND AWE EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE REASON TO BELIEVE THAT MS. JULIE GREEN IS TAPPING INTO A GOOD SOURCE OF INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!

They are looking to infiltrate them. Any large organization that could possibly be a threat is considered a threat by the left because they might fight for what they believe in. LDS are not "big government" people, and they have had a lot of run in's with the feds over time.

Mormons are some f the most crooked and hypocritical people I have ever met. I don’t trust them at all and that explains why we have intelligence issues

People who choose a career in the N.S.A. or C.I.A. or F.B.I. will be risking their lives.....
    for their country......
and it takes a special type of mentality to be willing to do that. I am glad that a lot of Mormons ended up in the N.S.A......... they are some of the most well read Christians that I have ever met. I also love how they take near death experience accounts seriously.

But don't count on their motives being the same as the FBI. Also, LDS are not typically concentrated in big cities, and they are not very public, with drives control freaks up the wall.

Everyone is a cog in the wheel to the system in some form. They just happen to be particularly useful for this application.

    Wow!!!!!!!!!

I just ran into a theory on The Second Coming of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus that kind of astonished me......
..... so the least that I can do is put this idea in front of my Latter day Saint friends online.......

because this idea is far, far, far, far, far, far, far............ above my Security Clearance and pay scale!!!!!!!!!!!???

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is definitely one of the heaviest and most logical theories that I have ever read on this question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The Second Coming (of Jesus Christ) "

    Well said!!!!!!!

I have met perhaps fourteen or more Latter day Saint Elders and Sisters...... and if I were a NSA or CSIS recruiter...... I would want to give many of them at least that important second interview!

Because of their mandatory missionary program, many Mormons have valuable foreign language skills.

I think this has always been a problem in American history, but there are many indicators the problem is getting worse.
Not just in the amount of people who hold ethical values in very little esteem, but also the types of corruption those people are willing to commit, the severity of ethical transgressions committed.

In the old days, for example, some unscrupulous people might have been willing to steal money, but they would stop short of doing something that would ruin another person's life. Even most criminals had some basic minimum code of ethics, something that these days seems to have all but disappeared. Certain sorts of things that were so bad and unethical, they would draw a line.

Decaying moral-ethical standards in society and rising corruption levels are going to have a profound effect on the future society, an effect I think most people are underestimating.

    Exactly!!!!!

I spent a year and a half in Quito, Ecuador and still... I only have two or three hundred Spanish words to work with....... It is NOT easy to learn a second language!

I actually just got back from the L.D.S. Ward a few moments ago........
I have been church hopping since 1991 and I have yet to meet a large Christian church where the people are so astonishingly friendly and helpful!

I will be heading back to the nearest Ward in another half hour to meet with two of the Elders.....

I met with them a week ago and and they have me thinking that I now do have at least two options of not merely church hopping for the up coming years and decades?!?!

Trust in authority isn't synonymous with stupidity. I'm sure the CIA and FBI want intelligent people as well from among the pool.
