In my opinion it is proven throughout history an individual or a group with good intentions to change for he better gets a little power and it ends badly for a lot of people.

Germany was dead broke and in debt but with a little push within two years became a great nation with too much power Germany's leaders led the path of Germany to a bad end in 1945

Japan a country with new ideas and new technology like Germany the leaders of Japan led to a bad path and a horrific end for Hiroshima and Nagasaki

However history does not stop at wars.

    For example the Mcarthy area,
Mcarthy had an idea to get rid of the communist in America.
Once a good idea but too much power and you have innocent people mixed with communist and pretty soon everybody that disagreed with Mcarthy wound up on a Communist watch list.

Then there are the Unions, a lot of people don't like Unions.

However when they first started they changed some things that needed to be changed , like child labor, poor working conditions and a very bad wage , sexual harassment, the right to work law
This was especially necessary in the coal mines of the mountains areas and the truck drivers.
Police and fire departments benefited from this as well .

However the unions became power hungry and that led to a bad situation for the American workers as well as the union leaders.

In each case the good intentions turned their back on the people they was supposed to be working for and turned toward their own gain.

Today we have another , actually three groups that seek power for themselves the Republican party and the Democratic party, the rich of America.
The path America is on says it all.:peace:

Ladies and Gentlemen I await your comments and views on this issue.

The Founders warned about the consolidation of power and that has been going on with central government for quite some time.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. When people get power and are able to legalize their version of utopia, everyone suffers, from neo conservatives to progressives, the same can be said.

That is why individual freedom has to be protected at any cost but people keep giving more of it away for an empty promise of bread and circuses.

My mother had a friend in Paris that wrote back to her in the 30's expounding on how wonderful she thought Hitler was. He did many good things for the German people until he had enough power to institute his version of utopia.
