The Washington Post has been so wrong, so often on so many issues that people simply have stop subscribing because they don't get news from its any more. The problem isn't easy to fix because.... they aren't here to give you the news.

Willful ignorance to the narrative. It's an expensive habit and mindset that is losing the Washington Post half a billion dollars this year. Perhaps like the other corporate news organizations, we can no longer call them mainstream, their numbers suggest they are largely ignored at this stage, they could decide to earn some money by engaging in.....news.

This is likely the latest and perhaps last round in the realm go corporate media narrative shaping and gatekeeping. The first round saw news organizations bleeding money, watching their fired former employees be scooped up as "fact checkers" by billionaires and use that to stop the upcoming new style news organizations from being fully effective. After that failed, fact checkers and old school media organizations became "trusted sources" for the social media companies also helping keep that narrative machine in place. Now that all of this has failed, well I guess we will need a couple more "emergencies" to keep people in their homes and stuck in fromt of their televisions, unable to confer with their neighbors, friends and families.

The old order is dead. It's exhausted, broke, and the tide of what is coming cannot be held back any further. No narratives, no ignoring the facts. The actual news and events that take place are going to be found by people seeking that information.

In the meantime looks like Jeff is going to have to leave Lauren and the yacht and come try to save the Post. So sad.
