The UN's International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague will start deliberating on South African charge of genocide against "Israel." "South Africa has asked the court to order provisional measures to protect the Palestinian people in Gaza from further harm, ensure Israel’s compliance with the Genocide Convention, and safeguard South Africa’s ability to have the case fairly adjudicated. South Africa has asked the ICJ to issue these measures “as a matter of extreme urgency,” saying that Palestinians in Gaza are in “urgent and severe need of the Court’s protection.” World Court to hear Genocide Case Against Israel https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/01/10/world-court-hear-genocide-case-against-israel I got the popcorn ready, it will get very interesting if the court decides against "Criminal Israel" for the ongoing atrocities and the Genocide of the Palestinian people. The Right to defend themselves does not include the right to inflict genocide!
Will Israel even care? And more importantly, will the US continue to sell Israel weapons, unconditionally.
Zionists never cared about UN resolutions, so they won't accept verdicts of a UN criminal court. Zionism is a fascist ideology that is highly incompatible with international understanding. There's a strong, well-funded pro-Zionist lobby in America. Most likely, US-support for the massacre of the Palestinians won't stop.
I don't know enough about it to comment, but if it is indeed it an idology then it needs to be changed, if not by force then by heavy persuasion.
Le Figaro: Israel has summoned the ambassadors of the countries that voted at the UN for a "Palestinian state". "The ambassadors of France, Japan, South Korea, Malta, the Slovak Republic and Ecuador will be summoned tomorrow," the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement. From the comments ------------------------ Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was received in Istanbul on Saturday by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued its operations in the Nur Shams camp in the north of the occupied West Bank, where 14 people were killed yesterday. On Friday evening, nine people, including six children, were also killed in an Israeli strike in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip. For their part, Israel and Iran seem to be moving away from escalation at a time when the war in Gaza knows no end.
Hmm.. What toss... Perhaps the Palestinian Hamas leadership shouldn't have started a shooting war against their neighbors who are able to crush them. And now they just figured out that they will get crushed, so they ran to "mommy" at the UN to make Israel stop beating them up for starting a war. Perhaps the state of Florida should sue in the world court to have the UN sanction the terrorists in Palestine.... And just so we're clear here, why should South Africa of all places have standing in the world court to complain about Israel defending themselves from Terrorists?
