For all of its supposed intelligence, and ability to perceive itself in the world, the human species seems determined and dedicated to destroy itself at all costs, utilizing that supposedly exclusive intelligence to devise new and more effective ways of rendering itself and all others extinct through whatever means possible. If the human species did not start out as being a mistake at its inception in the real world, has it allowed itself to become a mistake over time?
I don't think so. We haven't destroyed ourselves with nuclear weapons, and most of us, at least, recognise the dangers of AGW and the need for protection of the environment Apart from the current US administration and people like Bolsonaro.
I don't see your claim that, "the human species seems determined and dedicated to destroy itself at all costs." There are more humans on Earth than ever, and our species pretty much dominates every environment it's settled in. Go us!
