Was in an interesting discussion the other day about Judaism, Zionism, and the way Jewish politics/religion/ethnical/race all seem to be integrated into one unlike any other reiligion race ethnicity or political party. The Jewish religion has the same label as their race and their politics. Now there are some who would parse it out to little entities within to avoid being called an antisemite and including all Jews, however the politics is imbedded though their religion! That said how does one without writing 5 pages of disclaimers, listing each and every one of a multitude of groups, or incorrectly listing only one which really includes many discuss Jewish politcs at large in a sensible manner when any criticism can be wrongfully classified as antisemitism? I have a problem with one particular concept, in that Jews appear to have more rights than the rest of society in "this regard", hence the requirement to parse or complete censorship resulting from claims of antisemitsm. No other group has the ability to claim all aspects of life and political influence under religion and I would like to hear opinions and maybe even see a good debate about the fine lines if any that may or may not exist.
I think with many things related to the people, if there is a group that needs to qualified as the exception, it will be the Orthodox Jews. Orthodox Jews generally oppose Zionism for religious reasons.
