We are opening the year 2024 with every commentator telling us how great the American economy is. Problem is, neither source is the ultimate authority. On the individual level, it can be easy to assume the economy is bad if your situation is bad but that doesn't mean it's true across the board. But on the flipside, it's also easy to assume the opposite if you don't have a window into those who are hurting.

Stop looking to the media, any media, for truth. That's not their product anymore. Now our media sells narratives and their own curated versions of the truth. How do you think the CNNs and the FOX New's and the NewsMax's stay in business? They tell their viewers exactly what they tuned in to hear. Progressives turn to CNN and MSNBC for their nonsense, conservatives turn to FOX, and the really far-out nutjobs who will believe ANYTHING turn to places like Newsmax.
