I've experienced a lot of verbal harassment for being of Polish heritage.

Apart from hearing routine dumb Polak jokes growing up.

I've seen some anti-Polish discrimination much more serious than that.

When I wore a Poland belt buckle, someone yelled "Dumb Polak" at me, like they might fight me, with hostility.

When I've visited my local Polish bar, I've seen dumb Polak jokes told.

When I bought my German American friend to the Polish bar, he said "How stupid are Polish, aren't Polish too stupid to run a restaurant" then he yelled "His German ancestors were kicked out, and he hates Polish for that"

Another German American I knew told me "He hated Polish" to my face.

Of course Polish still experience discrimination as I pointed out above.

As for just being seen as White Christians, in the eyes of many Liberals, that's enough of a reason to "Make fun of Polish" because they have "White Privilege" and thus they think it's okay, while not daring to attack non-White Christians.

I grew up in NYC. Lots of Poles here.

Met lots of Poles at Hunter College, where I was for 3 years.

Had two Polish supervisors at my second job.

Have several Polish co-workers at my current job, where I have been for almost 16 years.

and knowing all those folks, over all those years, NONE of them ever complained about bigotry against Poles.

I never, ever heard about it, Not even from the college kids.

My boss for 6 years is a Pole.

The most mentioning about prejudice against Poles I have EVER heard in my life, is on this forum, from you.

Why is that? Please explain this amazing phenomenon.

I think the majority of Polish Americans have heard dumb Polak jokes for starters.

While, maybe not all have heard such kind of more hostile anti-Polish discrimination, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
