The United Nations is a miscreant if it's powerless in the Ukraine conflict

So, the U.N. was conceived with a so-called Security Council and Russia, though it has become a predator nation, sits on said council. Therefore the U.N. is powerless to help Ukraine shake its tormentors and the U.N. is powerless to end the continual torrent of war crimes being perpetrated by Russia against the citizenry of Ukraine. Shouldn't the U.S. then refuse to host the U.N. on our soil if it is so fatally flawed? I ask: what good is it to perpetuate the pipe dream of a global body-politic? I've heard that the U.N. does bunches of good deeds in furtherance of worldwide welfare. It gives pause, this abhorrent shortcoming. Fill in the blanks, fellows.

since the un can not stop every war it is fatally flawed and the maga thing to do is kill it.

a more realistic view is that the un is a successful organization that facilitates diplomacy and prevents many disputes from escalating into war. the usa has used the un on many occasions.
