Vaccines don't have to be perfect to protect folks.

Will you be keeping covid to yourselves or will you venture out of Covidland to infect the rest of us?

Let's take your anti-vaxxer level of understanding to its logical conclusion: why is this a good reason not get vaccinated?

Why does anyone think the FDA is so slow about approving the vaccine? They could have easily done it by now, they have plenty of data. Do they know something we don't know? Are they afraid of a liability issue??

We have been rolling along with the certainty that once vaccinated we would be protected from Covid19. That the long term ill effects on us will be very limited and rare. It turns out that neither of these beliefs we held are very accurate. A lot of vaccinated people are now catching C19 and vaccinated people can spread the virus even if they are asymptomatic.

Push comes to shove I think I would still take the vaccine but I think I can see where someone else might decide not to and would never try to force them to act differently. I believe we should have reached the end of so called mandates shot or mask and no friggin lockdowns. Encourage people to get vaccinated if you believe in it but no intimidation or belittling of those who disagree with you. Politically we are greatly divided but this is a health issue both mental and body and we should be taking care of each other.

A lot of us who don't want to be around unvaccinated types are trying not to infect family and friends.

Did you get your shots or do you live in fear of

"We?" Who are you talking about? People who don't understand how vaccines work? You and your pals? Even the polio vaccine isn't 100%.
Aside from those with health conditions that make taking the vaccine problematic or a fear of needles...?
Lockdowns will happen again if the hospitals are overrun with covid patients. Hopefully, the vaccines will keep enough people from getting really sick.
"Intimidation" = challenging anti-vaxxer disinformation preventing us from reaching herd immunity?
Oh, you mean mocking people who tell folks how they can protect themselves with P100 respirators for less than $50?

How many times do I have to tell you that I’m vaccinated. I don’t live in fear of other people’s free will like many on here though. All you can do is tell them why they should get one but ultimately the choice is up to them. I wish them all well no matter their choice and don’t look bad at them either way. They in the end are making the choice they believe is best for them

That's been my thought all along as well. If the vaccines are as good as people say they are, then the vaccinated need not fear the unvaccinated. Is that not the whole purpose of the vaccine?

People who have been vaccinated still die from this virus. When I say we I'm referring to people who follow the news and evaluate what they hear and decide for themselves the best course. I am not antivax, I'm anti BS control mechanisms.

No, the purpose of ANY vaccine is to eradicate that disease.

An as long as unvaccinated people exist the disease can still find sanctuary within them. In the 60s the great push to eradicate smallpox tracked the unvaccinated into remote villages in India but they found them and vaccinated everyone there. Today what was once mankind's greatest scourge is gone forever, as this disease will be someday

They are still working down the age brackets toward the little ones under emergency use. I assume they will wait until they have data on younger patients.

As I understand it, the covid vaccines we have today aren't designed to eradicate the covid virus, but instead to just reduce its effect on those infected, only to have it resurface again as some kind of a new "variant."

I guess you don't mind them keeping the pandemic going and further damaging the economy.
They're making a choice to keep the pandemic going. That choice impacts all of us.

    So...?
I don't know if you can fairly claim to represent these folks.
Do you object to having laws that seek to control folks' behavior? We stop people from assaulting others. We support private property. We tax for what we determine to be the common good.

Is attempting to limit the impact of a pandemic in the public interest? Is quarantine an acceptable measure in at least some situations? If people won't get vaccinated, are we obliged to accept them spreading the virus by their actions, as they see fit? Yes, yes, and no.

Why is what some people say relevant?
Because of what people say? Really?

The unvaccinated present a statistically greater threat to spread covid than those vaccinated.
The objective is to help the body to fight off infection and lessen the impact on our bodies. Presumably if enough people are vaccinated or otherwise have fewer personal contacts the virus will be effectively contained.

The next step will be limiting the personal contacts of unvaccinated people by excluding them from activities more likely to spread covid.

I posted a simple message, so stop replying with all your multi-quote garbage in return, because I'm not going to waste my time responding to it. It makes no sense to me and it pollutes the message board. If you keep doing it, I'm going to report you for trolling.

If people refuse to get the vaccine then yes, we accept their choice and use whatever precautions you believe are effective to protect yourself. Lock yourself in a closet if you like.

Biden and the Obama Cabal are damaging the economy. This BS is misdirection and it isn't working.

Funny, my company is going like gangbusters. We just had the biggest profit-sharing check ever.

And we are doing well because a wide variety of business sectors are doing well. We deal with probably a dozen different types of businesses.

But then I live in a very liberal area. No doubt red states aren't doing so well.

So then you don't think the people who refuse vaccination are ruining the economy either?

I agree with you, but not for any reason I think you would appreciate.
You might give a go at trying to understand.
