The most promising news I've heard comes from London. Hundreds of their NHS staff (National Health Service) will be tested to find out if they have had coronavirus. They're doing all this through a drive-through at a theme park. Instead of testing for the virus, serological tests sniff out antibodies in the blood — molecules made by the immune system in response to a pathogen's attack.

This can possibly bring the first real breakthrough in this pandemic. An antibody/antigen test will tell you if you've had it and if you're recovered or recovering from coronavirus. It will tell if you're immune or not. Antibodies from someone who has recovered can be put into someone who is acutely ill in their fight with Covid-19 and it will help their body in their immune response and fight the virus.

I doubt that antibodies from one person can be put into another person (blood transfusion) as the recipient still needs to have their own ability to produce those antibodies. The foreign antibodies will just appear as foreign bodies and attacked by the recipients immune system
