According to WHO 35 % of the women have been sexually assaulted. Lot many places in the world where sexual assault is not consider a severe crime. This way they are just made inferior to men or they are considered recessive specie. This is basically a crime against humanity. These women when they raise their kids they also got psychological or social issues. Lot of social issue stem from sexual assault against women. Sexualy assaulting a women is just like making them slave. Making them vulnerable to lot many diseases. Protecting women is just like protecting mankind and saving families. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/16/opinion/kristof-how-brave-girls-helped-crack-a-taboo.html
I think the topic is misunderstood, it is basically women around the globe, those women are always a target of sexual assault. Women are approximately half of the world population. When we talk about the global issues, crimes against women are the biggest part of it. Saving women is just saving families and thus saving world.
Do you just assume nobody will read the links? Just curious since you misstate what it says: 35 percent of women worldwide have been sexually assaulted or subjected to domestic violence
Thank you very much for the correction. You are right 35 percent is not only for sexually assault but also for the domestic violence.
I think that this is not primarily gender specific. Men have a packing order between themselves on any street to begin with. This is primarily driven by individual size and/or ranking in some group. Females can never get to the top of such hierarchies. Those very few mammals that live in female-dominated hierarchies, have a thing in common that their area provides more than enoufg food. This is rare in human society. Only the indistrial period of the modern west is an example in human history, and under this condition, western laws do get written with female input.
