The Árab Spring' has been a disaster. Islamists have taken control of governments and oppressed religious minorities, women and sexual minorities. We have seen counter movements first in Turkey and now Egypt where liberal secular people want their freedoms back. The Left in the west supports the Islamists for some strange reason.
As long as people keep making excuses for Islam, individual rights will never come to Islamic nations.
