Is pot healthier to smoke than tobacco? I was wondering if the cancer causing agents in tobacco are not in pot?

    Thanks

Tobacco is definitely, from a physical health perspective, much much worse, and is more addictive that marijuana. Tobacco use kills millions worldwide every year. ( http://www.lung.org/associations/states/colorado/tobacco/). While marijuana, which is also not exactly amazing for your lungs (as is anything that isn't actual air), with prolonged and heavy use, will start to affect your brain function, in some cases accelerate and exacerbate psychotic illnesses, and also affect learning and information retention, as well as overall cognitive function, while tobacco usage does not include any of those symptoms. (http://www.drugfreeworld.org/drugfacts/marijuana/short-and-long-term-effects.html). I haven't smoked pot since I was an adolescent, but, knowing all that information, and knowing all of the adverse effects of it, godammit I love smoking cigarettes.

Firstly, the amount of carcinogen inhaled is hugely less with pot, and no one smokes a pack of joints a day.

Secondly, the additives in a cigarette are very likely worse than the tobacco.

Thirdly, one inhales differently when smoking pot than when smoking a cigarette which must impact the level of lung damage.
