    "33% of Americans think the sun goes around the earth" Is somewhat of a mis-statement by the blogger. The actual poll results from the graph states "33% of Americans think the sun goes around the earth once a year"

    Thank you for asking those specific questions, I didn't believe the graph. It was silly. However, that last bit didn't have to be said. Some things are left better unsaid.

    I do think many people, especially on this forum encapsulate the term illusory superiority magnificently.

    If you read the astrology question again too, "not at all scientific", well astrologers DO track the movement of the plants and the stars and can predict their movements which IS scientific.

    Missed the one on the Continents still moving, didn't know it the "shifting" is still considered actual moving as in early times by geologist and then I never took a geology course.

    Those people werent serious and were only joking :)
    Those figures are not in the ballpark, and therefore dont represent the majority of people
