I don't think they've done any specific studies on this.
And I wouldn't want them to waste the big amount of money it would take to conduct such a study.
(Never mind the problematic ethical implications of carrying out any such study)

It would probably be done overseas anyway but men have been known to produce breastmilk - rare admittedly but it has happened in cases where the mother has died and there was no alternative

We already know that hormones enable the production of breast milk.

Wet nurses, AKA lactating women, were used in past to feed the babies of women who could NOT produce their own breast milk and there was NO RELATIONSHIP between the breastfeeder and the baby.

What’s so disgusting? A breast is a lump of flesh with a nipple and milk ducts. A baby wouldn’t know anything other than he/she is receiving nourishment, bonding with the parent, with the bonus of receiving some immunity. What a loving act. Why exactly is it disgusting to provide a baby with nourishment, bonding, and immunity?

 

Irrelevant facts. No one claimed men dont have female hormones. You can let go of the strawman now. This transgender woman doesnt have ENOUGH female hormones to produce lactation so the Drs pumped her full of more.

 

And? Hormones are used to help women get pregnant, to stop women from getting pregnant, men sometimes need extra testosterone, menopausal women take hormones, and so on. Is the problem not enough hormones or something else? Men have nipples, men have milk ducts. What’s the problem with kicking off lactation in a person that identifies as a woman, lives as a woman, and is raising a child as a woman?

I was responding to what was said below.

Maybe my point wasn’t clear. Why is it a problem for anybody who doesn’t have enough hormones to be given some more. I was trying to make the point that there are many reasons to receive more hormones. This person seems angry a transgender women is receiving hormones to produce lactation. That is seemingly intolerance directed related to transgenders. If they were against hormones being given in general that would not be true.
