You laugh now, but he who laughs last laughs best. Your devotion to Trump will be tested in the coming two years. Let's see where it ends up.

Exactly, he needs that partisan cudgel to rope in Congress men and women to help him.
    Nice!
The bootlickers and the "loyal AND easily fleeced" flock will line up at the feet of The Chosen One AKA Savior.

It would be really really nice if the Democrats had a candidate that was worth voting for. Currently both parties have bottom scrapings.

What "Devotion" ? You got the wrong playbook mate. Folks didnt elect Trump because they liked him all that much .. as per Micheal Moore's sentient prediction .. they wanted to throw a Mol-Tov Cocktail into the Establishment.

The reason many folks are defaulting to Red has little to do with Trump .. and a whole lot to do with the fact that Blue is far worse .. than Red under Trump.

For a whole lot it is not an "I love Trump" Vote .. it is an "I hate Blue" vote.
"Exactly" someone who has had a glimpse at the right playbook. Got to get with the right program there Quant ..

that’s why we need to get rid of the 2 party system, and the whole “if not this, then that” mentality. All our government offers us is 2 different flavors of ****, and everything is designed to keep it that way.

NOT necessarily, Bush Lawyer! Why did we vote for Trump in 2016? To avoid the horror of Hillary Clinton and the further entrenchment of some kind of 'Obama 2.0' that would have continued under her. Why did we vote for Trump in 2020? To avoid the horror of a demented Democrat rubber-stamp -- JOE BIDEN -- for all the worsening 'woke' policies festering in the Democrat Party like a broken, toxic sewer system. And, now look... we got 'Obama 2.0' anyway -- and Conservatives will never forget that.

BUT -- if you guys in the Democrat Party could come up with a presidential candidate no worse again than, say, BILL Clinton, you might be surprised at how many votes you'd get! Sure, he was a liberal Democrat, but at least he was intelligent, and capable of compromise....

Think: The Democrat Party will never produce another president with the quality and stature of John F. Kennedy again... and it's equally true that the Republican Party will never produce another president with the quality, stature, and effectiveness of Ronald Reagan again, either. But, at least you can TRY to find people better than the radical, America-hating dreck that has characterized nearly all of the Democrat Party since at least 2006! And, to be fair, Republicans must do better than to nominate Donald Trump again.

As my Mother told me so many years ago -- "Just do the best you can, my darling -- it won't be TOO good...." ;)

There is nothign stopping a legit 3rd party from forming ... it just won't go anywhere so long as the Establishment has control over the Media and with the citizens having been dumbed down politically .. having no clue what voting even means .. or the basics such as the founding principle - legitimate authority - and basics of Philosophy .. logic - logical fallacy - what constitutes a valid argument.

Thus the Status Quo is easy to maintain .. the majority of folks not smart enough to know better than to think voting third party is throwing vote away.

This is our pay to play system in action .. Those who pay have control.

And the result will be a repeat of 2020 and 2022.
Probably worse. But have at it.

Only because you give it to them. In a voting democracy, you can elect whoever you want, even a defective like trump. Notice how neither the media nor the so-called establishment were able to stop trump in 2016. The fact that he turned out to be a seditious quisling doesn't alter the fact that people do not have to listen to what the media barrages them with and they can vote as they want, and if they allow the wrong candidates to become their choice, that was their decision.
This is an area where social media could truly inform and coordinate people if used intelligently. Instead, its main use seems to be for vain mental masturbation.
If you prefer to be a sheep and bleat complaints about the man keeping you down, you're looking in the wrong direction.

Those that gag and vote for Trump, usually don't view him as you put it 'great orange hope'. It's a great deal to do with the extremism of those who think climate can be controlled by taxing it and mandating things that the most damaging countries don't bother with, telling people what they can or cannot think, and generally don't believe the government is the answer to the problems that the government creates.

You mean the "Teleprompter" Trump with Jeb Bush's low energy? It was boring and he did his usual exaggerations, misinformation, and other things. But that won't last. Trump will be Trump sooner rather than later. And over half of the GOP rank and file want someone other than Trump. Even Fox News said that DeSantis is now the leader of the GOP, not Trump.

All Trump is doing is delaying the inevitable, thinking by doing this will delay or suspend any investigations he is currently having and hoping it will dissway others from running, but it won't. Even his daughter-in-law made a veiled threat not to run toward DeSantis.

Without putting too much political vitriol into this reply, I will tell you, candidly, that the reason so many of us voted for Donald Trump in 2016 was HILLARY CLINTON.

With equal candor, I'll tell you that the reason so many of us voted for Donald Trump in 2020 was JOE BIDEN!

If the Democrat Party could come up with just one (ONE) candidate again that has one-tenth the quality of a John F. Kennedy, YOU'D WIN IN A LANDSLIDE! And even dyed-in-the-wool Conservatives like me would vote for him, too!

People, who support authoritarian rule are good judges of character? People who want politicians to honor their wedding vows but elect a man who was not faithful even when running for President are good judges of character?

    Obviously...
Trump plans on Blackmailing his Way to the GOP Nomination:
Trump's Plan To Get the GOP Nom (Through BLACKMAIL) is Crystal Clear...
In Fact, I Can ALREADY SEE It...
Trump's Playbook in the GOP Primary:
    1) Trump Sees the Possibility of the Nomination Slipping Away
    2) Trump Announces that he is running in November 2024, regardless of Primary Results..
(Either as the GOP Nominee or 3rd Party)...
    3) Giving the GOP Voters the Choice:
    IF You Don't Nominate ME...
THEN You Are Going to LOSE...
(Because I will Run 3rd Party and Sabotage GOP Chances in the Fall)...

Todays left would not have voted for JFK! My folks were strong supporters of JFK and the democrat party! Today they would, and millions of other Democrats of that era were more conservative with conservative values then even todays hardcore right are!! The left today are just "Off the wall" drama, and fear peddlers..

I think DeSantis is the better pick for sure, but either is a good pick imo. Leagues better than Dems.

today's rights would not have voted for Reagan either. he is too "liberal" for modern conservatives who believe more of the myth of Ronald Reagan than reality.
