of course living in a red state you see a strong economy. I do too in a red area of a blue state that defied blue state leaders to gain our good position

And how does it compare to its rate in February 2020? That’s the measure of success. The impacts of the China virus have been overcome in red state America but not in blue states. Trump had us well on the road to full recovery when he left office

My blue state is down to 4.3%. Pretty damn good imho. Much better than trumps 16+

California still has the 5th largest GDP in the world ... you live off the taxes raised in the sea ports of San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. If
you lost access to goods and trade coming out of those areas, your "claimed" good position would be far less.

The "leftist" state of Washington is still rated the number one economy in the country because of leadership in the "leftist" tech industry.

Yes, Maine does use ranked choice, but that is for their general election only. Not the primaries. Maine held their regular Republican and democratic primaries on 14 June. Maine doesn’t include the non-partisan primary that Alaska has where all candidates regardless of party are listed on one ballot.

I’ve never been a fan of rank choice voting. Although I love the jungle primary which we’ve had here in Georgia for a couple of special house elections and a senate election where all candidates are listed on the ballot. If a candidate receives 50% plus one vote, that candidate is the winner. If not, there is a runoff between the top 2.

He was correct..... She is nothing but a Democrat mole trying to undermine the party from within.

An undeclared Democrat is worse than an open one

Yet the blue State seem to have a major problem if everyone tries to charge their electric cars and run their air conditioners at the same time in their homes....

I watched this TED talk previously, which is pretty good in explaining the ranked choice voting system (maybe not exactly the same as in Alaska, bu the principle is the same).

    https://www.ted.com/talks/katherine_m_gehl_us_politics_isn_t_broken_it_s_fixed?language=en

I agree that the result is unpredictable, since we have no experience with such voting systems. In theory, it should result in a less extremist candidate winning, which, in my view, is a great thing.

We'll see, but I am excited about ranked choice voting. Hopefully, there won't be too many unforeseen ways to game this system and get the extremists back in power.

As to the OP: Of course, Trump is attacking Murkowski. Can't have any dissenting voices against the great leader. I wonder if posts praising Murkowski are deleted on Truth Social.

They should elect a Democrat. It's better for everyone.

we use a jungle primary in louisiana as well. it has advantaged and disadvantages. i think it favors a more unified party over the wide ranging factions of the dems.

And we have trouble when every dude in the country has to fill up the gas tanks on these ...

    gettyimages-1228272478-612x612.jpg

The idea is to use more efficient gas vehicles in conjunction with electric vehicles ... not switch everything to electric at once. It ain't rocket science.

You are talking to a guy that owns two small bore motorcycles and the minivan and several bicycles.

So I would tell you to preach to the choir but I'm not that faithful.

You do know some people need those bigger vehicles to accomplish work, correct?

Good luck towing some heavy equipment or something with one of those stupid electric cars.

But congratulations on your failed attempt at stereotyping

How many times do you have to be slapped down with the facts that prove the "climate change/AGW" meme is a fraud??

You're too lazy to look at the actual science and observational data to prove it to yourself; or, your education is too limited to allow you to understand it even if you did - probably both!!

You are harming our economy, which harms people, harms families, harms children.

    You have no excuse.

Worse than the idiotic cars - they're simultaneously weakening the electrical grid.

Wind and solar are a joke. You can't power a foundry with a stiff breeze on a sunny day.

And then there are the batteries...

    https://www.manhattan-institute.org/mines-minerals-and-green-energy-reality-check

A single electric car battery weighing 1,000 pounds requires extracting and processing some 500,000 pounds of materials. Averaged over a battery’s life, each mile of driving an electric car “consumes” five pounds of earth. Using an internal combustion engine consumes about 0.2 pounds of liquids per mile.
