"Classified material has a header which says ‘top-secret, secret, confidential.’ Nothing, and I will repeat this and this is verified in the report by the Department of Justice, none of the emails sent or received by me had such a header."

It's going to be very disappointing for the Republicans that look up to Trump when Trump is tried and found guilty of the crimes he is accused of and put in jail. Then what do they do when Trump is imprisoned? It will be a sad day for those who worship Trump as a God. Think about it.

This is not about Hillary.......and that email issues has been discussed and trashed to death by now.........It is irrelevant to the missing folder contents...........

Just because Trump and his groupies think he is above the law........that is NOT the case.

If folks think that it is ok for Trump to have done this and a multitude of other things...........just say so.and tell us WHY.......

Actually, that’s not true. Emails really did have the header, but by some miracle every one of them was caused by ‘human error.’ Maybe Trump will benefit from the same mistake.

And why would any ex president take documents from the white house anyway?

Well, taking a nod from Trump - all Obama has to say is that he declassified any documents sent to Hillary.

You're not going to buy that, are you?

Well, NO ****, dude. That's exactly why nobody is buying that Trump declassified all the documents in his office.

That's why the FBI went into Trump's residence - to find out how bad the leaks were. Obviously they had information
there were classified folders in his residence, and/or government property there. They found plenty - and
Trump has not denied the items were there.

At this point, any other person would be hauled in for interrogation to find out if those empty files contained documents
and what happened to them. They are still treating trump with kid gloves. Trump is playing the
    entitled queen at this point.

Whether he declassified them or not.......is irrelevant. He was NOT supposed to TAKE them...That is just another distraction from the Trump gang.

    NOPE, Not what happened

After a years-long FBI investigation, it was determined that Clinton's server did not contain any information or emails that were marked classified. Federal agencies did, however, retrospectively determine that 100 emails contained information that should have been deemed classified at the time they were sent, including 65 emails deemed "Secret" and 22 deemed "Top Secret". An additional 2,093 emails were retroactively designated confidential by the State Department.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/11/us/clinton-emails-routine-practice.html

"We can confirm that later today, as part of our monthly FOIA productions of former Secretary Clinton's emails, the State Department will be denying in full seven email chains, found in 22 documents representing 37 pages. The documents are being upgraded at the request of the intelligence community because they contain a category of top secret information," State Department spokesman John Kirby said. "These documents were not marked classified at the time they were sent."

..."We understand that these emails were likely originated on the State Department's unclassified system before they were ever shared with Secretary Clinton, and they have remained on the department's unclassified system for years. And, in at least one case, the emails appear to involve information from a published news article."

"As the State Department has confirmed, I never sent or received any material marked classified, and that hasn't changed in all of these months," Clinton maintained. "This seems to me to be, you know, another effort to inject this into the campaign. It's another leak."

Oh, you have a meme. I expected more from the highly educated and intellectually elite. If the documents were a ‘threat to national security’ today, they were a threat almost two years ago when the Gestopo didn’t care about them.

Why do you think he did it if that’s what you really believe? Sell them to China or Russia maybe? Maybe put them on ebay? We both know the government over classifies things, we both know classified stuff is shared with the media. And we both know our enemies know just about everything we have that’s classified. But I have never heard about empty folders being classified.

do you know that thousands of former government workers hold clearances and have access to classified info after they leave their jobs?

That is exactly the question I have been posing. Whey take them in the first place and why not return them quietly and prevent all this mess.......and drama.

There is yet to be a good defense made for his taking these documents that don't belong to him. There is just plenty of irrelavant spin and what about-ism.

Put simply, your security clearance “terminates” when you leave your federal job permanently
    https://fedemploymentattorneys.com/legal-blog/

An “active” clearance is one in which the candidate is presently eligible for access to classified information. A “current” clearance is one in which a candidate has been determined eligible for access to classified information but is not currently eligible without a reinstatement.

Bullshit. Remember when Trump had to revoke the security clearances of CNN analysts? No, you probably do not.

See the date? Before or after the IG and FBI looked at it?

Some classification markings found in email messages on Hillary Clinton's private server were the result of "human error" and the related information was not considered classified at the time it was sent to her, State Department spokesman John Kirby said Wednesday.

    Mine

    September 7, 2016

"I have a lot of experience dealing with classified material, starting when I was on the Senate Armed Services Committee going into the four years as secretary of state," she said. "Classified material has a header which says ‘top secret, secret, confidential.’ Nothing, and I will repeat this, and this is verified in the report by the Department of Justice, none of the emails sent or received by me had such a header."

Of the tens of thousands of emails the FBI reviewed, 81 email chains found on Clinton’s private servers included classified information, as determined by various U.S. intelligence agencies, according to a FBI report released Sept. 2. Just three email chains included some sort of classification marking: At least one paragraph preceded by the marking "(C)," indicating that those paragraphs were "confidential," the lowest level of classification. But none of the three had a header, footer or cover page further signaling that the emails contained confidential information.

Even though there was a "(C)" preceding the paragraphs, this information was not properly marked confidential because it did not include the header, FBI Director James Comey said in a July 7 hearing before Congress. It’s "reasonable," he said, that Clinton may not have realized these were classified.

For Clinton’s part, she told the FBI that "she did not know what the "(C)" meant at the beginning of the paragraphs and speculated it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order," according to the bureau’s report. She also disputed the need for these particular paragraphs to be classified at all.
