Trump is about to have a "come to Jesus" moment in NY

Earlier the judge in Trump's civil fraud case, Judge Arthur F. Engoron, warned Trump and his attorneys in no uncertain terms that a post by Trump on social media, about Engoron's chief law clerk, was not going to be tolerated. He ordered Trump to take down the post and that there would be SERIOUS consequences of a failure to abide by the order.

The post was removed from Trump's social network platform "Truth Social" but it was NOT removed from Trump's website DonaldJTrump.com

Once informed that the offending post was still accessible on the web site the judge, late Thursday, sent messages to the lawyers on both sides that this infraction will be addressed today in court.

We will now see what the Judge meant by "Serious consequences"

All of the "serious consequences" talk is totally delusional bullshit...
...UNLESS the Judge is prepared to throw Trump in Jail...

What about in home confinement with one of those ankle bracelets?
A total ban on internet activity?
A fine of 1 million or more?

For the first time in his life, the Orange Stain is being told "you can't do that" and can't talk back. At least not in court. Maybe not even in public.

I would love to see him talk his way into a jail cell.

For parents of unruly children, this type of moment should come as no surprise. This is the moment when the foot gets put down(hopefully) and the entitlement and arrogance that child feels runs full force into reality. Trump is a child who is not used to being told no and never developed the maturity to control himself in those situations where he has been.

He already dug his own grave taking the actions that he did that got him where he is, but now he's just digging it deeper out of his immature petulance and entitlement.

This would be far more satisfying if he had just stayed a private citizen, but this is internationally embarassing for a former president to be acting in this manner. Granted it's not new behavior for Trump and nobody will be surprised, but it's not going to help this country on the domestic and world stage that we can't even elect adults to lead us.

I would believe it when I see it...
As of now, all I see (from the judge) is idle threats...

Exactly, which will never happen as the cost to jail Trump over antics in a civil trial is prohibitive to this progressive fantasy

Judge has not yet made a ruling, but has issued a statement from the bench.

“In the current overheated climate, incendiary comments can and in some cases already has, led to serious physical harm and worse. I will now allow the defendants to explain why this blatant violation of the gag order would not result in serious sanctions, including financial sanctions and/or possibly imprisoning him,” Engoron said.

Yup, they got him this time!!!

More taxpayer money wasted on ridiculous bs.
When (if ever) the taxpayers wake up to this obvious attempt to stop President Trump from running for president again I wonder if they will get angry at those who wasted their tax dollars.

The corrupt judge will do whatever the corrupt judge pleases. This is the nature of fascism.

The lefts support of this fascism is a threat to our democracy

This judge has shown such a high level of bias that a successful appeal is almost a forgone conclusion. At the beginning of the trail, he was mugging so much for the cameras, it reminded me of a scene from the Three Stooges classic short, Disorder in the Court.

It doesn't mean that Trump isn't guilty, though.

Trump's game is to get this in front of SCOTUS for the ensuing delay and his hope, they, SCOTUS, will treat his as a Monarch. At bare minimum, anything that will allow him an appeal on any grounds, hence justice delayed is justice denied, is a win.

When (if ever) the MAGA Trump supporters wake up to his obvious corruption and grift as he runs for president again I wonder if they will get angry at all the politicians who backed this POS.

I put the odds of a successful appeal by Trump in this case somewhere between Hillary Clinton being elected president in 2024 and FOX News hiring Rachel Madow.

Turns out that "serious consequences" are not so serious after all. A 5,000 dollar fine to Trump is like me being fined .25 cents.

It does, however, put a dent in the claim that the judge is seriously biased against Trump.

Oh absolutely, but the least one should expect is a judge who can put up a show of impartiality.

Trump's problem is that the judge is impartial.
