I am watching Trump word salad his way through a live interview. A significant portion of what he is saying is outright false, and most of the rest of it is right out of a funhouse mirrors version of reality. Among the more obvious lies, is the claim that he fired Matis, a claim he repeated today, and even made up a fake scenario to try and muddle the known facts (a typical Trump play). He claimed that the non existant Mueller report exhonorate him. He shopped his misleading narrative about the Iraq war to support his continued insistance that he knows more than his intelligence professionals. This, is a typical Trumpian inversion from reality. He made a number of other obviously false statements while he was on. But there were so many of them, I lost track. I was not in the room when he was talking about his hinting about declaring an imaginary national emergency.
That's ODD.My Cable has only a dark screen for all Network coverage this morn.Even CNN and Fox.However MSNBC was up and clear as a bell.As well all the movie and weather channels. Joy Reid was hosting MSNBC the same time - Meet The Press - was due to appear. It never did.A media blackout is what it's called.
Tommy you're grasping. This just tells me we're still winning. He cut Mattis loose early, Mattis was fired. Mattis tried to dictate his terms of retirement and then tried to get political because Trump didn't agree with Mattis's warmongering in the Middle East. Gonna be a long 6 more years. Excuse me while I go take a shower in liberal tears.
That's okay, I wouldn't watch network or cable TV, even if they paid me. I cut the cable TV almost two years ago. I also cut my subscription to the local McClatchy paper after 30+ years. They were shocked to hear me say they were biased is the reason. Just a few days ago, McClatchy laid off many employees due to low revenues. Other news sources are experiencing low revenues as well and will continue down the path of BS news and economic losses. Steve
When this is all over, will you still be making patently false claims like this just because the liar in chief said so? Matis did not retire, nor did he "attempt to dicate the terms of his retirement". You made that up. Trump didn't fire Matis. You know that as well as I do. The world knows it. Trump is making a fool of himself with this. What posesses you to make a fool of yourself by buying these transparant lies????? Seriously! You repeat an outright and obvious lie, and then make something up out of whole cloth to try and support the lie.
I won't pay anyone to brainwash me, period. Try it. I enjoy watching the 50+ channels in my area that are broadcast free of charge. They have to provide quality content or lose their customers and advertising revenues. On cable, they still get a piece of the revenue whether you watch them or not. Steve
Tommy, quoting Mattis's retirement letter: "Because you have the right to have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down from my position. The end date for my tenure is February 28, 2019, a date that should allow sufficient time for a successor to be nominated and confirmed as well as to make sure the Department's interests are properly articulated and protected at upcoming events to include Congressional posture hearings and the NATO Defense Ministerial meeting in February." Is Mattis still Secretary of Defense? I don't think so!
I certainly agree with you there! We don't have 50 channels in our area, and since I have to pay Comcast for internet, we stream just about everything.
Have you even tried to see how many channels are broadcast free in your area? Buy an antenna first. You have to enter the TV's "input" section to SCAN for channels. It certainly surprised me, and I don't pay anyone to brainwash me. That's the same way they set up your cable TV, except leave the default input setting on the antenna after scanning. Steve
Yeah, there are only about seven or eight, and some of them are duplicate networks. I kept that antenna!
