I know a lot of people don't like the idea but I think its a good one. One thing that has not been mentioned is the conditions to be met for things to start moving back to normal. I think an official review of the benefits and HARMS after each mandate, whether things change or not, is a good idea. Maybe things are restricted more, or some restrictions loosened, but having no conditions or official reviews of pros and cons after each federal, local and state mandate is not good.

I think this is great news. He is seeing what this is doing to the economy while only slowing the spread. At some point, we have to let the spread continue while we manage it, take precautions, and isolate the sick and old.

    I see.

In other words, Trump doesn't care how many people get sick and die.
As long as he can feed his Infantle, Fragile Ego (by holding more propaganda rallies)?

    Wow.:smh:

The virus could be around for months or longer. We can't stay shut down for that long, people cannot go without income, food, and necessities for that long before a massive revolt would happen. How long do you think we should stay shut down for? How much of a depression should we go into for the sake of slowing the spread.

The end of the 15 days is next Tuesday. Let's see how many will be on board by then.

No, he really doesn't. You don't need to look very hard to see the consequences of lax policies.

    good grief

hatred of Trump clouds your perspective. Do you honestly believe that a Democrat as POTUS would have made any difference? But, before responding, do not dare cite the lie about "Trump called virus a hoax" ,or reject that the WHO said no chance of human-to-human transmission.

exactly, get our country back rolling again, keep travel bans to/from other countries in place, but let people get back to work...

even at the risk of a million or two deaths...

most will be in big blue cities, so i ain't concerned...

This is a sick post. What is a life of a mother, daughter, or dear friend worth to you?

There hasn't even been a lock down or curfew! He clearly has no interest in looking at other countries and learning from their mistakes.

What are the consequences of keeping the country shut down indefinitely? What are the consequences of families who don't have a job, so no money for rent, mortgage, car payment, food, etc. No evictions is great till they owe a lump sum at the end. What are the consequences of small businesses going out of business, even corporations will suffer, for only slowing the inevitable, not stopping it.

I guess we're going to find out. We can't let our medical services crash.

    Lol.

    1) Trump DID Call it a "Hoax". Period.

    2) Trump should have ordered the Social Distancing a MONTH Ago (or even earlier).

    3) But, to feed his Infantile Fragile Ego, He Endangered the Lives of Others by Continuing to Hold Mass Rallies.

^ The Above 3 FACTS are Universally Accepted (and Beyond Dispute).

In FACT, since Trump called it a "Hoax" (at a S. Carolina Rally on Feb. 28th), had Trump.implemented the Social Distancing a Month Ago:

Trump could have prevented both criticisms.

BUT, The FACT Is--He Continued to Hold Large Rallies (to SPREAD the Virus) and Used the Word "Hoax"

    Sorry. But, Facts are FACTS.:salute:

Do we have to? Possibly not. We can find solutions for more supplies, beds, rather than collapsing the economy of the US and killing millions of livelihoods.

    We see.

Democrats want to destroy the economy for political gain.

    Party before country, as always...

Poverty causes lots of deaths, in the last recession it is estimated 14K died of suicide alone from that event. IMHO we need to quarantine at risk groups at let everyone else function as needed, with precautions.

    1. He did not say Period.

    2. Didn't have enough guns for everybody at the time.

    3. I didn't know he was an ordained priest? Haven't heard of one person claim they caught the virus from one of his rally's. Could he have saved lives instead.?

If those are solutions, why aren't we doing them now? The fact of the matter is that those resources just are not available in the quantities that we will need them if we go back to normal lifestyles. Trump is just talking out of his ass. Again. Holy god it must suck to be a trump apologist.

The Democrats want to drag the "quarantine" on indefinitely AND they're fighting against the relief bill in Congress right now. Nice.

I suggested self quarantine from the start. This really should be re-evaluated every two weeks nationwide to evaluate the help and damage this virus lock down is causing.

What are these stay-at-home orders then? I would argue the federal response is being trickled down to the States, but unfortunately the States aren't exactly responding. If one would prefer central command, I agree and that doesn't seem to be Trump's style. He's a laissez-faire type of CEO.
