Trump thinking of declaring the wall a national emergency

This has long ceased to be an issue about a wall or border-protection. In fact, it never was. Trump always intended to use 'the wall' as an excuse to shut down the government if indicted by Mueller.

I always said Trump would blow up the USA, just to save his own diseased skin. And that's exactly what he's doing.

But in the end he'll only destroy himself. If there has to be a winner in this standoff between 328 million Americans and Trump then America wins. Guaranteed.

This is not the end or even the beginning of the end for the United States.
But it is most certainly the end of a beginning.
A beginning without Trump as President.

I would love the smell of a no-Trump-presidency in the morning...

How much more clear does Trump have to be that he is anything but troubled over a wall? His entire shutdown of government is ONLY because he's scared stiff Mueller will come for him.
So, he shuts down government, calls a national crisis and WARNS for the disruption he intends to cause.

Trump knows that suspension of the rule of law is the only thing that's gonna delay his inevitable demise.

Congress and Senate should finally smell the coffee that the rest of America already know Trump is brewing.
Kick Mueller into gear to indict Trump and begin his impeachment!

This wall is not a military defensive structure. The Maginot Line wasn't even a wall. We're not defending against the 12th Donkey Regiment.

Everywhere walls have been built they have dramatically reduced illegal immigration and terror attacks, be it San Diego or Israel. 90%+ in fact.

Europe has built over 1000 km of walls and barriers to stop migrants.

The Hungarian wall has all but put an end to illegal immigration into their country.

Anyone arguing that walls, done correctly, aren't extremely effective at stopping migrants are just pointing out the ridiculousness of their point of view.

What stopped the migrant caravans?

With a clever turn of a phrase ( I will build a wall, and Mexico will pay for it) he has skewered them like a human kabob, from which they cannot escape. He can't deliver the wall, so he's falling apart because he thinks he'll lose his base, and he will lose many of them. (not you of course)

And how will building a wall make the entire country fail?

 

Translation: Stopping drug cartels is hard so let's just suck on our thumbs and hope they go away.

 

Good example of just how difficult and expensive a wall makes it for drug smugglers to get drugs in to our country with a wall in place.
