Question about this New York's Adult Survivors Act....does it allow a counter suit? And just how much evidence must be given for the lawsuit to succeed? If its like normal lawsuits then I'm not keen on it. All cases should be "beyond a reasonable doubt" imo.
Civil, not criminal. The standard is a "preponderance of the evidence," and has been since 1789. Your feelings on the matter are utterly irrelevant.
