So, Tucker Carlson thinks hurricanes are a hoax. Well, except for the one that barreled through his multi million dollar home this week.

Why do people believe anything this man says? I mean, some consider him a breath of truth and reality. He admitted he lies on the air, in a court of law.

I encourage anyone who thinks Carlson is the voice of logic and reason, please explain this to me.

I just SMH. Everything is a conspiracy now, even natural earth processes that have been going on for millions of years.

I don't get it, he said there's a large hurricane barreling towards the coast of florida
I didn't understand the part before it where he said something about "hyping hurricanes"
I'm thinking the preceding video portion is important
I don't know, this sounds like they cleverly chopped out the first part of a statement so yahoo could make a nice clickbait article
Where does he say "hurricanes are a hoax"?
Also, many Republicans take what "White Don Lemon" says with a grain of salt when it comes to "theories"

I trust no talking heads. None of them. Carlson is saying that democrats hype hurricanes and they are never as bad as the left claims. Except, of course, when it hits his house.

I watch Shephard Smith; he's about as unbiased as you can get. He resembles Uncle Walter.

Has Don Lemon's race got something to do with his truthfullness?
Would Republicans appreciate his point of view more if he were known as "Black Don Lemon"?

He does many of the same tactics i've seen that Don Lemon does to fire people up
are you offended by the words "white" and "black"?
Would it comfort you if I changed the wording to "a don-lemon like primetime show host"? would that that make you feel better? I'll do it if it can make your day better.
As always you guys jump straight to COLOR
    sad!

Oh, he believes this hurricane is real and not being hyped. He has a mansion on Boca Grande.

He says the left exaggerates the seriousness of all hurricanes to score money and prove climate change.
Climate change has no impact on hurricane activity, but you can’t tell a lefty that. They are very much anti science regarding many, but not all, climate change claims.

Ah! Thank you. He is right about that. Politicians will milk every disaster for what its worth.

You can literally see the destruction with your own eyes. They play it up for ratings, not for anything political. Fox News will also show a McDonalds bag blowing across the street when nothing is happening. People like to watch natural disasters. We are fascinated and horrified by them.

All talk about politicians or "the left" exaggerating hurricanes does is prevent some people from taking proper precautions.

Undoubtedly, there are people who die because they assumed the severity of a situation was being hyped up, and that view is because of the media they are consuming.

Tucker probably caused at least a few people to die who otherwise would have evacuated.

Of course, but the hurricane was not the result of government being too small or not taking in enough revenue.

Of curse not. The point is the hypocrisy. All hurricanes are exaggerated except for the one that hit my house.

How about finding and posting his ENTIRE STATEMENT and not the cherry picked part?

I see your point, but he was referring to politicians exploiting disasters for political gain. He is right. His party does it too.

In this case, DeSantis and Biden are working well together. I’m not seeing it right now. I don’t like either of them, but acknowledge they are doing their jobs on this.

Yes, no politician let’s a good disaster go to waste.

The left furthers their political aspirations with hurricanes by exploiting them to push the AGW narrative. What rightist political goal is furthered by exploiting a hurricane?

I was responding to a comment about political parties, not news networks.

The people who think climate change make hurricanes worse are loons.
The people who run the networks worry about ratings.

The hype is mostly the media.

Thats a fair question and I can't think of any political benefits Republicans can get from a hurricane.

There is absolutely, positively an aspect where networks ( of all political stripes) hype hurricanes because of ratings. There is also absolutely, positively, several leftist pushing networks that present hurricanes as if they are part and parcel a function of AGW. The guy out in the blowing wind and helmet is there for the ratings. The guy in the studio talking about warmer waters from AGW creating more frequent and more fierce hurricanes is pushing the AGW narrative. They exist simultaneously.

Of course they do, but when Carlson says hurricanes are hyped, EXCEPT for the one that hit his house this week, it is hypocrisy. He admitted, in court, that he lies on tv, and that his audience knows it’s just him being entertaining .
