There are plenty of feminine beta-males out there. They're called liberals. I'm sure most would love to become submissive doormats for a beastly man hater.

Great, I'll add that to the list. So far in the little time I've been here, I've been called a slut, a whore a little girl a little toad, a leftwad, a leftninny, a teenage millionaire, and several other things I won't mention. Thanks for something new.
Oh, "klaatu...verada...nicto.... does that make you stop?

It is insulting to strong women to consider this girl "tough." Read through the stupid (*)(*)(*)(*). Hell, reference the "sublime" exchange. "I can afford lawn care" was the funniest attempt. This reads more like a 14-year-old lashing out in hopes to convince people she is a "tough girl" rather than a legitimate display of wit and strength.

    Shack.

I think you are spot on. It's overcompensation to the max. Like I said earlier, a defense mechanism, and a particularly transparent one.

So having caught them, what the hell are people supposed to do with all those flies?

Mebbe so...but of human nature, not so much.

    Swell.

That might be impressive if there were any reason to think any substance is intrinsically addictive.

Do you think someone under the influence of a hallucinogen is in control of his mind? And if not, who or what is?

According to whom, other than people who have a vested interest in maintaining a dependent clientele?

You do understand that such an experience is not necessarily positive, right?

So that their compulsions are more socially acceptable, you mean?

    By what definition?

A very attractive Buddhist girl asked me out.

    Very surprising.

Here we go, another depressing and uber-defensive post. The first "what are you talking about" comment that you blew up about was not insulting, nor were some of the others. Nor was my initial comment which was questioning why you blew up at Hummingbird for posting a legitimate inquiry about a completely random and seemingly nonsensical post. You even fast approached me not meaning to "disrespect" me after you bit some people's heads off before considering the thought behind their posts. I do like cursing, so you're (*)(*)(*)(*) right about that. However, you're off track with petty. I made very constructive posts towards you in another thread, but you are completely off base and not representative of what I thought you were.

Go ahead and ignore all of the criticism. Yes, there are negative comments made about you, but to be fair you initiated the (*)(*)(*)(*) festival. There are also positive comments you thought were negative. You have validated everything people have said about you and have done nothing to establish the reputation you want to convince people you have. Take some last minute advice before you decide you can't handle what I have to say: step away from the computer before you post some stupid retort for a comment that doesn't warrant any. Also think long and hard about the way you are trying to present yourself because you did not ask for pity but that seems to be the only kind of response you accept. If you want to come across as a hardass, then take comments in stride and respond accordingly, not in a reactionary way.

I know a lot about being a strong woman, and I do what I can for others to build them up to it. You're letting the (*)(*)(*)(*) that happened to you cloud your judgment and reasoning and are lashing out at everyone (including poor old Herkdriver) when you don't have to. Take a break.

Oh baloney .... I read your strange title, particularly the 'Ugh" about having a date and your confusing post and asked "What are you talking about?"

You came back w/nothing but a snotty reply and you know it - at least you should recognize it for what it is.....

You're the one who set the tone of this thread..... either live w/it or try to correct it.

The times are changing, the only question is are you going to feel like less of a man because of it? I hope not, but it seems to be a problem with the younger crowd.

Well I apologized to you and we seemed to get on fine, what happened with that?..... Never mind, I'll feel better without all the back and forth.
You have a nice life also.

Yeah, and I have that irritating habit of asking people what they're talking about when they say something confusing....

And I'd never in my life heard a woman say 'ugh' after accepting a date... that really threw me off.
