It IS WWIII now. Russia is fighting Ukraine overtly, the entire world economically and losing both of them. It will probably end with another regime change in Russia and Putin in Milosevic's old cell at the Hague, at least I hope so.
Well, for the sake of everyone's 'underclothing', let's hope that the Russian military exhibits greater control and coordination than we have seen in it so far in making very damned sure that it doesn't initiate hostilities in Poland or any other full-fledged NATO country. As a preventative measure, it might be a good idea if Biden's handlers have a couple of truckloads of "Depends" adult-diapers delivered to the White House, just in case.... It is? I don't see NATO countries involved in the conflict. Militarily at least. Propaganda wars always will be present anyways.

Militarily no, but most of the world's nations are heavily involved in a way that profoundly affects most of their people, or will very shortly. Historically I contend it will have many of the effects of a war short of the billions dead.
Biden is trying like hell to do everything but starting WWIII. So is Europe. It is definitely a very dicey situation that could blow up at any minute. The biggest problem is that Putin may not be rational. That makes him far more dangerous. But he also knows that MAD still applies in a best case. So to me the question is, is Putin crazy enough to start a nuclear war? I don't think anyone knows that answer. We know he is isolated and showing signs of instability. Hoping his own people take him out, one way or another.

I just came across an article just a few moments ago: Russia warns US that convoys 'pumping Ukraine with weapons' will be considered 'legitimate targets' (msn.com) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said US convoys would be considered "legitimate targets." It's similarities to the runup and entry of the USA into previous World Wars. I wonder if civilian ships will be sunk by Russian subs?
I'm pretty sure they will if he goes to nuke anyone. This was a scenario that was gameplayed on the Defense Departments computers several times in the old Soviet/Cold War days (War Games actually existed, though it wasn't connected to anything and so couldn't be hacked) The Russian military High Command simply pulled their pistols and shot the First Secretary dead. Military discipline is one thing but they don't really WANT to die
The war in the Ukraine is really serious..... this could escalate into a WWIII... but a powerful case can be presented that we are already in the economic part of WWIII against China...... ....... and China could move against Taiwan soon...... But IF high quality weapons in serious numbers were to be shipped to the Ukrainians..... the Russians would almost certainly face a humiliating defeat over time..... I believe that Putin has made a colossal error in mis-underestimating the will of the Ukrainians to fight his armies..... I believe that the astonishingly corrupt Chinese Military Industrial Complex have also made a serious error and they could soon be reduced to being something like the crippled Weimar Republic of Germany after WWI...... I believe that the corrupt officials in China made a terrible error to believe any statements by Dr. Tony Fauci and / or Bill Gates on any topic......... at any time..... Fauci and Gates are not actually on the side of China..... ... even if corrupt Chinese officials did believe that they were..... Could Dr. Tony Fauci be a heroic figure????
