Adults carry wallets, in those wallets are multiple forms of ID.

And yes, local agencies should be able to enforce immigration, just like they do with drug trafficking, bank robberies, human trafficking, etc etc.

It's real simple. You're either a citizen or you're not.

If you're not, then out you go. Apply at the first border you cross that isn't at war.

I suppose we could just start sending them to Canada though.

You do not need to carry ANY id if you are an American citizen (unless you partake in a job or activity that requires identification for that job or activity).

Whether someone you find on the street is a citizen is a federal issue. Citizenship is federal.

Citizens are free in the USA. You can walk to the bus station and go to work with NO id. You can walk to your church or synagogue with NO id. You can ride your bicycle to the local grocery and buy food with NO id. You can sit on benches in public spaces and read the news with no id.

And, deportation is harder than that. The country to which you plan on sending someone must agree to take them. You need permission.

 

To get in your car and drive to the store and buy alcohol or tobacco requires a driver's license which is also an acceptable form of identification when you get to the store

If the federal government refuses to do its duties by enforcing immigration laws then it's up to the states to protect their own borders.

American citizens need to band together and file a class action lawsuit against the government for dereliction of duty. Securing our borders is one of their Chief duties and they are failing miserably

You must be thrilled about the US House and how they blocked money for immigration at Trump's request.

 

You must think that the Democrats strategy of packing all of their other garbage into the bill would fool people when Republicans objected to it and then they could pretend like the immigration thing is their fault because they wouldn't go along with all of their other garbage that's unrelated to immigration or the fact that they wanted 5,000 immigrants a day illegals to be let in under the bill.
