You mean when he replaced the NAFTA agreement with a nearly identical agreement? The one the Democrats has to rewrite so it actually did protect jobs?

And how did he display leadership?

Sure NZ contributes virtually nothing to the world economy. Shutting it down barely registers.

But what about real countries with real and significant economies?

This is always worth repeating. In other words, grow a pair!

“If a man is alive, there is always danger that he may die, though the danger must be allowed to be less in proportion as he is dead-and-alive to begin with. A man sits as many risks as he runs.“

I hate low flow shower heads. I have an old school drain-the-river shower head I got from a house that was about to be demolished and I love it. I can understand the low flow in arid places, but the east coast of the US isn't going to run out of water any time soon.

No shortage of water here as the canals demonstrate continually.

But why can’t people in other places install high pressure shower heads. Would that not accomplish the same thing as using more water?

Apparently that's not enough to keep Trump clean.

I'm ok with people in the big cities like NYC and LA moving into new high rises having to put up with low water pressure. It might discourage more people from living there.

And they'll also get to compare and contrast what life is like with the rationing, versus without, when they go on trips somewhere else.
(People are less inclined to suffer if they know everyone else doesn't have to suffer along with them)

It's a little complicated to explain. Pressure isn't necessarily correlated in a simple way to water flow.

The restrictor built into the new faucets will limit the flow so much that it would end up drastically reducing the pressure, but the "low-flow" "high efficiency" shower head compensates for this by sending out the water through narrow channels, reducing the flow just a little bit further, but also normalizing the pressure back towards normal, often a little bit higher, although all the pressure will just be in a narrow stream of water and there won't be that much of it.

If you're more curious about the mathematics of the quantitative relationship between flow and pressure, taking a flow of water and narrowing it will always result in high pressure (at the cost of flow), but if the stream narrows and then widens back, the pressure can end up being lower than it originally was (unless the water is allowed to build-up).
The issue is, the limiter is not only built into the shower head, something many people trying to "fix" it may not be aware of.

Generically speaking, I agree with you. The thing is, many humans are creatures of habit. Our son takes a 25 minute shower, regardless of water pressure. I'm an in/out person, myself, and I can get sparkly clean, including my thick hair, in five minutes, even with the shitty water flow.

I don't want it controlled; that's not my point. I want my water pressure back. I just always try to see the other side, to see where compromise might exist. There are water supply problems in some very big parts of the country. That should be discussed. Why can't we have adult conversations anymore?

I’ve never taken a shower that took more than 5 minutes. I lived near the Great Lakes most of my
life and now here so the supply has never been the issue. I just hate wasting anything.

My bigger issue is people who have lawn fetishes and have allowed their quest for an emerald green lawn to be the major focus in their life. They also tend to water during the hottest part of the day claiming that’s when the grass needs it most.

    So maybe they’re just stupid.

Sorry. Rant over for now. :)

And yet your PM can order you into a hole because she can. And when it happens absent the agreement of the people, then what? The precedent to order you into a hole has already been set.

After 20~ish years of hanging out on message forums, I'd agree that lots of stupid people walk the earth. Our country has our fair share, and them some.
