I'm not sure how you can come to that conclusion. It seems more likely to me that globalism is the problem, not the solution. The ultimate authoritarianism is globalism, the ultimate freedom is individualism.

I've also heard many people on the left attack the overpopulation idea. They say that the real problem isn't that we don't have enough to support everyone. But that the world's resources are divided so unevenly. They claim the solution is to stop producing so much meat since cattle take so much farmland to feed. The US throws away so much food and we as a planet do have enough to feed everyone.

I do believe the planet is overpopulated but our biggest problem is our inability to manage our impact on the planet and use our natural resources more mindfully.
