Victorious Trump Says It's Time for Country to Come Together

“Former President Donald Trump reveled in his landslide victory in the Iowa Republican caucuses on Monday night, saying it is time for the country to come together and straighten out the problems facing the nation and the world.

"I really think this is time now for everybody our country to come together," Trump said from a stage in Des Moines, Iowa. "We want to come together, whether it's Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative. It would be so nice if we could come together and straighten out the world and straighten out the problems and straighten out all of the death and destruction that we're witnessing.

"It's just so important, and I want to make that is a very big part of our message. We're going to come together. It's going to happen soon."”

Trump is right to make this effort. It needs to be done. America is divided and we need to come together and be more of a common purpose.

 

This needs to happen. There needs to be unity and common cause between the working and middle classes and those below and above them. Between the gleaming cities and the heartland that feeds them, provides the energy to run their endeavors and heats their homes, and manufactures the things needed for the basics and the comforts of us all, we need to make sure no American citizens are left behind.

 

Don't you think it's a bit hypocritical for Trump to be talking about "coming together" when his Christmas message to the nation (You know, that holiday about "Peace on Earth" and "Good Will to All Men") includes "MAY THEY ROT IN HELL"?

 

No one is dumb enough to think he's being honest. No one. He doesn't give a **** about "coming together" and never has.

 

While Trump is talking about uniting the country, the left is talking about keeping us apart.

I hope he does. That must mean he is willing to compromise.

 

So he thinks Americans are flat out brain dead!

What's new about that?

He's constantly going on about how he promises to use another term to go after his enemies throughout the government.

He gives his "dictatorship" messages.

He exposes his racism, sexism, jingoism, and amorality.

Then, he says "come together"???

There has NEVER been anything about "come together" in Trump.

 

We can all agree that "we need to come together".
I recall a time when we could have spirited, but not mean spirited, discussions about politics.
That went away sometime around Bush I.
Nice that Trump is willing to at least give some words to the issue, but we'll see how that works out.

 

Trump couldn't even get his own Republican Party to agree on health care or infrastructure bills ... dude, ya gotta accept the fact that Trump doesn't
play well with others. Trump is, and always will be, a classic narcissist.

 

Nothing brings us closer together than leftists burning down cities.

 

Is it a form of a backhanded insult that people keep pointing out that Nikki Haley won the high income, college educated voters and Trump won the rural voters? I believe the statistic is true but it seems to be a round about way or calling Trump voters stupid and failures.

 

Interesting how he wants to come together after retweeting his supporters screaming the only good democrat is a dead one.

Meanwhile, in Portland, the riots continued without end because the leftist legal system wasn't going to prosecute their off spring for trying to destroy the Federal building and kill the Federal employees there.

 

I think what this really amounts to is Trump saying given his huge margin in Iowa, resistance to him is futile. So he's pivoting to the general election. Somebody probably suggested to him he needs to pretend to be nice to win the general election.

That is NOT what happened in Portland.

And, a major theme of Trump campaign speeches is about how thoroughly he will go after his political enemies.

There is no "come together" about Trump. And, there never has been.

 

That is even more insulting to republicans. You are now saying democrats are the high income, college educated voter. At least the other comment said the high income, college educated republicans chose Haley not that they don't exist.

 

Come together? LOL! Now that he has won the first primary by a landslide, this is his message to DeSantis and Haley to get out of the race and start backing him. As we know from the past eight years, everything that Trump does is about him. Of course, he wants the country to unite behind HIM.

On the other hand, if his opponents win, he doesn't care whether he tears the country apart, for example by still not having conceded the 2020 election, as long as it serves his own interest. He should have thought about "coming together" on Nov. 2020 when he lost. He could have, for example, told his supporters that they should accept Biden as the president elect and unite behind him. Instead, he told them to storm the Capitol.

Coming together, my a$$. The scary thing is that people even fall for his spiel.

 

In his CHRISTMAS message he told his rivals to "ROT IN HELL"

That is not someone who wants unite. That is not someone who wants us to come together. That is not someone who even understands what that means.

 

Coming together, right?

 

Maybe at first glance.

First of all, there are a lot of really stupid people that went to college.

It takes zero intelligence to go to college and major in "african studies" or "liberal arts" or "gender studies" or one of the other million useless degrees you can get if mommy and daddy has money or your skin is a shade of non-white.

Secondly, that's what the democrat party is: the elite, out of touch rabid marxist and their slave class.
