It truly makes me wonder, what does Trump have to do to finally incur wrath from his supporters?

This is a very dangerous presidency and I do not see any end in sight now that they have decided to acquit.

 

I hypothesize that there are two camps among the Trump supporters:

a) People who believe the press is the enemy of the people, that those who speak up like Vindman are traitors and part of the deep state.

b) Those that know (a) is a crock, but ignore it because the ends justify the means.

The unfortunate reality is that if you're in camp (b), those means currently being utilized may one day be weaponized by a different president with whom you categorically disagree on policy. The undermining of essentially all methods of checking the power of the presidency is not a recipe for the removal of political elites. It is a road towards enshrining them.

 

Nahh, It's because he doesn't matter enough. He's a LTC in the Pentagon. They are a dime a dozen. He's the equivalent of a coffee boy or a gofer. He is now a virtual nobody that nobody wants to be associated with. His career is over. All he can do is ride it out and hope he can make it to retirement before he is passed over for retirement twice.

 

Viniman got wrapped up in his own importance. Then he thought he was more important than the president. Not a very intelligent man. Viniman looks good on paper but he's an incompetent leader of men.

 

No...he did his duty. He heard an illegal bribe from a POS who was trying to dig up dirt on a political opponent. Then he honored a Congressional Supeona....like a good soldier should.

He told the truth. trump hates people who tell the truth....cause he is the Liar in Chief. He and Moscow Mitch are turning the US into a Banana Republic.

Viniman joined the army and rose up through the ranks, like any brown-noser can do. Trump campaigned and was elected POTUS. Who, including Viniman, can top that.

 

Trump never asserted that Vindman would be investigated.

So the military took a look, and decided not to investigate, which falls in line with Trump's provisional statement.

Trump has not issued an order to countermand the military's decision.

 

I can't believe I have to explain this to you but apparently I do. Trump's goal (without evidence) is to put the idea in The Following's head that an investigation is needed. Just as he has done with Biden. Actual investigations are his enemy because they never prove what he has implied. (like with Comey, Clinton, McCabe, Strzok, etc.)

He puts innuendo in the water supply so the conversation about investigations gets momentum and takes on a life of its own. He creates the shinny thing over there for people to focus on.....................when they should be focusing on his deceit in hinting there was any wrongdoing in the first place.

 

You said Trump asserted. That is not true. Trump said that it was going to be up to the military, that is, to investigate Vindman or not.

If Trump now ORDERS the command to investigate Vindman, then Trump is asserting his authority as CIC.

But so far it looks like Trump is going to let it slide and not take command, and that Trump finds the military's decision acceptable as per his original statement, and that this is an entirely dead issue.
