    Well this is another thread that I had put on the back burner following the 4th circuit's ruling upholding the lower court's declaration that Virginia's ban on same sex marriage is unconstitutional, and SCOTUS' turning away the appeal. However, the one state in the circuit that did not have legal same sex marriage at the time, S. Carolina needed a nudge:

    Will it be appealed and be stayed by SCOTUS like Kansas? No word as of this writing.
