Warren urges House to begin impeachment proceedings on heels of Mueller report

Warren is just playing to her base of support here. She wants to be out front in this for the upcoming Democratic primary campaign. She wants and needs the radical left's support which at the moment Sanders is her main opponent.

Anyone with a bit of political common sense knows even if the House would draw up the articles of impeachment, pass them and go on to a trial in the senate. It would be a total waste of time, energy and money on a very partisan political ploy. The support isn't there among the whole of America. Just Democrats and Democrats only. When it comes to politics, there is very little common sense and even facing reality.

But calling for impeachment I have no doubt goes over huge with the Democratic base, even if it doesn't for anyone else. This could help her in the primaries, hurt her if she gets the nomination in the general. Crunching the current numbers, I don't think she could win the independent vote in the general election. Independents have a very negative view of Warren. But that means nothing in the Democratic Primaries, but could mean everything in the General election as Hillary Clinton Proved.

 

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to impeach trump. But he is a wounded mad dog and it is best to just run him to death.

Just because Trump became frustrated and wanted to end a ridiculous COUP created and predicated upon lies in an attempt to take him down after months or years of constant endless harrassment, no matter how hard liberals try to spin this, it doesn't rise to the level of impeachment.

ANYONE would have gone off the rails in the same situation. Half of America was screaming he should end it just a few months in so he could get to working fully at AMERICA'S business. I've read probably 60% of the Mueller report... can you say the same?

Simple question - Do you believe Trump ordered/asked McGahn to fire/remove/let go Mueller on June 17th, 2017?

If Yes, what reason(s) do you believe would be valid for that removal?

From what I've read so far, this so exceeds the basic definition of high crimes and misdemeanors that it's sort of sad we had to wait for the full report, since so much of this was in the public domain before the report.

Meaningless "Hope and Change!", which can mean ANYTHING or nothing at all as a slogan makes soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much more sense than Make America Great Again . . . yep.

 

How about knowing it was false from the onset and that it was manufactured by a coup who lied to get FISA warrants? And after a year or more of relentless tongue lashing by the democratic party and their main stream media minions calling Trump a traitor which is punishable by death, he'd had enough? I mean who wouldn't want it shut down? Hell, half the country was calling for the same long before Trump tried to act on it.

 

Good news for Trump... I now do not believe Section I of the OOJ Volume (Trump orders McGahn to deny that Trump tried to fire Mueller).

Apparently, Trump just wanted McGahn to submit a false statement to the press about that episode, not to the Special Counsel's office.

Lying to the press is certainly encouraged in Trump world and probably does not rise to the level of impeachable OOJ.

I do think it's absolutely hilarious that McGahn (the WH lawyer) had to go through HIS personal lawyer to talk to Trump's lawyer (Rudy or Sekulow I assume) about this...

Wanting it shut down and shutting it down with no valid legal reason are 2 different things... Mueller had only been on the job for 1 month when Trump freaked out over the report that Mueller was now looking at OOJ, in addition to the Russia stuff.

I DO recommend you read the report instead of whining the party line...

Obviously Trump was miffed and wanted to be rid of Mueller through proper channels for failure to carry out his edict as per the guidelines set forth. McGahn told him there were no grounds at the time to do so. So Trump simmered but refused to act. At any time, he could have personally fired Mueller, but did not do so because of the optics. Sorry but that doesn't fit under the definition of obstruction. In fact, it shows great restraint.

 

I guess I missed that detailed study of the legalities of OOJ because somebody is "miffed"....

Trump didn't need a middleman to shitcan Mueller. How much simpler can I put this? As Commander in Chief he can fire anyone in the Executive branch at will...........for any or no reason. He did not do so.
