Bored, old white folks. God, their life must suck if they actually went to a rally for a politician and didn't get paid to do so.

It makes me wonder who failed you in life, that you have no appreciation or gratitude for the people who have given you today and all you have.

Most young people think they know more than their parents and old people- but old people have been where your going, already passed the test your will be faced with and fail.

We see things much differently that you think we do. We know for example that our parents weren't perfect; but did the best they could with what they knew and had. Even the poor ones.
We know the real job of all parents is to do the best they can to make their children strong, independent and good people- and in some ways or areas, we will fail.
It becomes the job of each generation to sort out what they have been given, and to discard what is wrong, and to add what is good- as they see it.
Of course, they too will be flawed and leave their children an imperfect world, and those children must do the same task again- take what they have been given, improve it the best they can- and pass it to their children. This is the process of change, of social evolution- and it is something inevitable. It should happen. The question is- if that change remains focused on the same objective, or those who have that duty fail to understand their responsibility, and botch the job.

So long as children grow up and become responsible men and women, society continues to grow, to strengthen and improve itself. However when we have a generation that fails to mature except in physical size, never becomes adult, responsible men and women, but continue to think like rebellious teenagers- society goes backwards and loses ground.

Old people hand their children not only the world, but all the goods and plans they have developed, in the best shape they can.
Unless you lack the capacity to be a genuine adult, you take that and do your best to improve it for your own children, that their life will be even better than yours. Unless you lack the capacity to love, to care for your fellow man and your own families future, because you have yet to mature.

I would estimate your age at perhaps 15, and your parents perhaps not understanding this any better than you do.

There are certainly a number of people who would vote Anybody But Trump (ABTs), and yes you're eminently correct we all hated Loathsome Skank, but it was also the party's and her own liberal policies (just as Biden's continued these) which did her in.

If no other enthusiasm is needed, then we don't need elections at all, do we? Trump was popular enough to get in, draws huge crowds even under COVID Crazytown conditions. And Biden is in his basement, invisible, while Harris evades a long Q@A --- and that is the dearth knell for either party when they do that on a campaign trail. Candidates MUST answer the questions, even the softballs and open love-notes. Harris isn't even doing that.

Thank you for your sermon, err post. I see that I struck a nerve. Because of this, let me amend my post. Any person, young or old who chooses to go to a political rally without being paid to do so must have a god awful boring life.

Ah, so only conservatives hatred towards another candidate are valid reasons to vote for anyone but that person.

    Well, glad you were honest.

Trouble with that facile fabulism is that I don't hate either Grandpa Grope or Mattress Back. Biden's pathetic but not hateable. None of his proposals have ever engendered hated within me. Note also that I specifically address the issue that Dems didn't want Harris in their presidential primary, and yet in the event Biden does win, she slips in as president without anyone actually casting a vote for her in the TRUE general election.

Dems would say they deserve it, like Roe v Wade, even when they didn't earn it. Like Roe v Wade.

Hate is something that consumes the hater. It's much more therapeutic to mock. This too is all-American.

You didnt mention voting. Nor stealing the election. Obviously the last choice is more popular when you have a senile old man as your candidate.

The road to Hell takes forty minutes from my driveway. Literally. It's the general Ann Arbor area. Where Michigan's legalized pot initiative and the source of many of our other woes began. University and junior college and trade school country.

Religion? Hoo-hah we got the Book. And others. Who knew Christians were so tolerant?

We have Wiccans and Buddhists and religions in languages I cannot read off the signs in front of their sanctuaries. Over on the side with the angels......Catholics? Cafeteria or otherwise? Lutherans? Pick your flavor. Baptists? Bless their hearts. And those lunatic fringe Methodists. Terrorists, I tell ya! Bad as the Unitarians! (I tease.)

Here, Wally. You sound like you could use a few smiles.

I am not ashamed to admit that I hate Trump. Irate him because he is a vile evil human being, and he is not only destroying American democracy, he is a threat to democracy all over the world. I'll give you on guess as to who gains the most by his whining about a fixed election. Right. Vladimir Putin.

Then let's save all parties and candidates money and do away with elections and campaigns and the need to tell voters who to vote for. Don't let them vote at all or choose their rulers. Notify them after the change of an incumbent and keep voters forever in the dark.

Vote Democrat. They think you're mushrooms. And they intend to feed you well, on everyone else's dime.

Respectfully, I disagree he endangers global democracy after the mideast peace treaties. It may be wildly optimistic to predict it's only the start. I'll live with talking-wild.

Can you name examples where a democratic nation has our representative republic framework? This would help you narrow down the places where Trump's action or inaction affected that similar system.

Or motivation to support the government he believes is best for the nation. I know that is old-fashioned to some, and many think the proper choice is just to riot when you don't get your way. But they should know us old folks have a solution for that too- and hope we don't take it out of the closet and use it, which is likely if people decide they have had enough BS, and decide to start canceling tickets.

We should set up a pool on the excuses libs will use for Trump's totally illegal, morally objectionable seizure of the Constitution to beat a woman almost nobody sentient liked --- later followed by appointing conservative judges for longstanding vacancies left over from the Omeohmy administration.

Villain! How dare he make justice run even a tiny bit faster!

Now they go berserk after Ginsburg blew it and died on Trump's watch and Trump legally gets to replace her, hopefully with someone to the right of Antonin Scalia. Someone Clarence Thomas points to and says, "Yowza!"

They could use a little cold fresh wind up those robes.
