For those not aware, today celebrated 40 years since Weird Al released his first album. It is nice to see that even 4 decades later he can still make people laugh, and has a career that stretches decades longer than most of those that he parodies. Thank you for the laughs, Al. RIP.
Im the only person I know who ever liked listening to Weird Al's albums. However, I know a few people who saw him live (mostly because they just like live shows and they'll go see anything live) and they all express surprise at finding out that Weird Al puts on the best live show on earth. Or so they all said. Still havnt seen him live myself. I'd like to tho.
Yes he is, did you not watch his biography a few months ago? He was assassinated by Madonna in 1985. He says so in his own biography.
I have actually owned all of his albums, including the first one. And have seen him multiple times live, the first in 1984. And even today, they are insane and high energy from start to finish.
If he came out with any new material he would probably be called a racist and accused of PC crimes. I thought Amish Paradise was pretty funny.
I don't know how a generation that grew up on South Park has turned out to be so damn soft and easily offended now
