I get a kick out of some of the names people go by in discussion forums. What are some that strike your fancy (even if they aren't used here at PF already)?

I think "Hema Toma" sounds pretty interesting - but maybe identifying with a bruise is a little strange. Even so, I think I'd go with it if I was just now registering - I mean just for the hell of it.

Also, a thread about why you picked the name you did here at PF would be pretty interesting. Probably has already been one but I'm too lazy to search...

I give you one of my fav nicks from forums i travelled to. Mrkurtz. An american dude with a anger management problem. When he wasnt being banned, he was fighting the regulars with the odd break to cheer his love of trannies.

From this forum, i have to say. Deanberryministries. If he hasnt been perm banned by now. A truelly original chatter. With the rememorable catchphrase "you are not man enough"

I was considering what to call myself that would be appropriate for a political forum and not something I already use elsewhere. Being something of a pragmatist, I like the idea of using Occam's Razor and for no reason whatsoever the name of a wrestling finishing move popped in my head and just became irresistable.

Years ago when I worked concert security, one of the shows we worked was Aerosmith. All the band members had seperate dressing rooms with their name printed on a sheet of paper attached to the door.

Walking by the dressing rooms we saw dressing room signs for Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, and Heywood Jablome. One of the other guards was upset, thinking that Aerosmith had gotten a new singer to replace Steven Tyler.

We didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise... :D

There is a newer PF member here with a similar name, guess it doesn't violate terms... or mods haven't caught on... or appreciate such humor. :D

With my own ID, I hoped to convey that I lean to the right (sometimes falling right completely), but also that I'm moderate by today's standards of what a conservative is.

Iolo Morgannwg was a patriot and a radical supporter of the French Revolution who set up our National Eisteddfod. Convinced that some of the best Mediaeval poetry in our language was written in our County, he wrote it himself. It is very good and fooled people for a hundred years - he probably had a time machine. One of my great-great-grandmothers came from his parish and he'd known another of my heroes, Dr Johnson. No contest really!

My name is derived from the C-130 "Hercules." An aircraft in continuous production since 1955 in one variant or another...2nd only to the DC-3 as one of the most successful aircraft designs in all of aviation. (in my opinion)

USMC KC-130F landing on an aircraft carrier in 1963....a year before I was born.
    Brilliant piloting by the way.

Obviously not - given my interest in Welsh history, it would be a little bit 'oddie' of me to think such a thing!

    (couldn't resist that!)
