I haven't seen a real fiscal conservative in Congress other than Ron and Rand Paul. Perhaps you can name a few Your party loves debt. If an agency budget is not increased for a given year they (Dems) call it a cut. The Republicans love debt too so I have to vote for the things I mentioned and go with Trump. The Dems have morphed into a Communist party with full out political repression, political correctness, and show trials.

Nope, I don't think so. I think the media would just blame the economy on him.

Trump's actions are kind of constrained, in some ways, by what the media will say and be able to attack him on. So it's sort of forcing him into a middle-of-the-line policy path. At least that way you reduce criticism by half, since it's a lot harder to attack someone from two different contradictory sides at once.

When voters listen to the media, they hand over their power to the media.

In some ironic way, it is the media setting the course of policy right now.

So voters are getting EXACTLY WHAT THEY DESERVE.

Stupid people deserve stupid policy.

Every time you turn on that TV, you are "voting" without realizing it.

The blame is on the people.

You can't tell a politician he should do something, when he knows you will throw him out of office if he does it, and then complain about him "not listening" to you.

This bit of conspiratorial nonsense is just that. Trump isn't the least bit constrained by the media and if you think he is, then you are tacitly admitting that he is a weak leader.

The media isn't suggesting policy, but they are interviewing pandemic experts - including the ones that part of Trump's own administration.

Those experts advocate for stronger policies as it relates to the virus, including things like ramping up testing - which Trump said he ordered to be slowed

And wearing a mask - which trump refuses to do.

And refraining from large, in door gatherings - which Trump has done on multiple occasions now.

I WISH that Trump was constrained and influenced by the media in terms of his response to the virus.
